Good that Tibetans there gather to celebrate His Holiness’ birthday. The lady who gave speech said one of the promises given on behalf of Tibetans in Sikkim was that they will speak Tibetan. I hope that people there will take it to heart and at least try speaking it because language is the soul of our identity. Even you Chukee La, I think it’s very good that you try to speak in Tibetan even with accent and incorrect pronunciations. Practice makes it perfect. You’re setting a very good example for your kids and I’m always amazed that both your kids speak Tibetan. So good job!
