lol I was gonna put it in the description but will note here: yes I do give away things that don’t work to me to friends/family when I can & also use whatever I can on my body - as I think most people do!
when something doesn't work for me, i sell it or give it to my sister or my coworker who's into skincare too. i'm not going to force myself to finish stuff that doesn't work for me, but i also refuse to waste skincare. i have only thrown away skincare when it seemed expired when i received it but i couldn't return it.
I also do the same. I give it away

Unless the product irritates my skin, I’ll use the moisturizer/serum/toner up on the rest of my body. I don’t have any friends who are into skincare or I’d give it away

I say what doesn't work for my face is always good enough for my feet, body, legs or bum 😁 you can put the toners in spray bottles and use it on your body right in the shower (don't slip!!) for the creams you can use it on your feet of course but also knees and elbows as they often need some extra love (also the bum 😋)

The snail mucin caused my skin to break out in welts. 😂 There are so many ingredients in every product that we apply to the skin. Lately I’ve been trying to use up and eliminate products that are unnecessary or redundant.

Omg i just got it and it seems that it broke a lot of people out, I really hope it doesn’t for me because my mom was telling to not miss my skin up with tempting products and i was like Oh noOo don’t be silly I would neverr I did my research it’s all safe, i hope I don’t embarrass myself😭

Your probably allergic to the mites in snail mucin it’s fairly common

I felt the same about clay and had my insttree mugwort claymask sitting in a shelf. I started using it with their yam cleanser (tip. from Kelly Driscoll). Mixing those two together helped with the clay sooo much and my winter skin was loving this combo and this way the mask got used up.

I tried the mugwort line based on one of your old videos and fell in love. Haven't tried the sheet mask yet but I absolutely love the wash off mask for when my skin is irritated or inflamed. Using the mask > cold alovera from the fridge (any of the korean ones) > mugwort toner > cream has been a life saver when i travel
I liked this type of video. It’s good to see what isn’t finished as well as hearing why. Some products we may have considered buying before it’s helpful to hear your response.

I declutter makeup but never did for skincare, as I always use them up. If i cant use it up on my face I use it on my body. For expired stuff, I use them on my feet lol. I just can't throw away skincare, sometimes I give to my mum but she has more sensitive skin than me, so if something does not work for me it likely won't for her...hence the feet for getting rid of the skincare graveyard. I loved the Im from Honey serum too, it was strongly scented but it worked well for me as I have dry skin all year round.
Haha funny seeing the old no. 1 numbuzin toner, I just received the newer version in the mail and had no idea there was a previous version!
Yeah the current version is a pretty even split of heartleaf, centella, and licorice root-talk about soothing right? Excited to crack that one open once the weather warms up a bit 😊

Concentration definitely makes a difference. I can't tell you how many times l tried and loved a propolis or honey based sheet mask but later broke out from using the ampule or the essence in the same line.

So I have really bad allergies and i use the I'm From Mugwort Mask on my body when I have an attack it helps so much. ❤🤕

Propolis serum gave me the worst hives.

Ooh same here! Everyone was raving about the Tir Tir milk toner but I broke out with it, sadly. So I gave it to my sister. It is what it is sometimes lol

you can use the propolis overnight mask as a lip balm, works wonders
Alternatives for Normal to Dry Skin:
- The Body Shop Charcoal Wash-off face Mask (It has pieces you can use to exfoliate - I don’t use it for that benefit, just layer it on, and wash off) = nice brightening effect.
- Lush Rose Toner = VERY, VERY light weight, but EXTREMELY soothing and hydrating. If I’m looking for more hydration, I spray my face once, let it sit for a few seconds and apply another layer.

I love the snail mucin 96! It’s so soothing when my skin is more sensitive. However I tried the double one and zits just started appearing (I rarely get them and it was the only change).
Also I’m really bummed that I react badly to mugwort. It seems like such an incredible ingredient but both my face and body react to it. I need to make a detailed list of what I react to (instead of just trusting my brain)because some brands just don’t work for me (like pyunkang yul) but I don’t know what in them makes it happen.
What product would you recommend for skin brightening over the axis-y one? I have sensitive skin but vitamin C works really well for me as long as the percentage isn’t too high 😆

Omg, I tried the snail mucin cream, and I got a really bad allergic reaction too! My eyelids got all swollen and I broke out and got really sensitive and itchy. I've given it too my sister and her skin loooves it. I'm lucky I have my sister whose skin seems to tolerate almost anything unlike mine that reacts poorly to so many things 😅 Means I can let my sister have it (and she's more than happy to take it too)
Tina, have you seen or tried the Hada Labo Gokujun Perfect Jelly? I’m sooooo curious about how it compares to their traditional liquidy lotions hydration-wise!!
Also, you’ve been talking a bit about makeup and hair products lately, and i noticed you have really pretty manicured nails, i was wondering if you use any nail/cuticle treatments or moisturizers?
“I had a pretty bad reaction to this one… *puts it on hand*” 😂… I purchased the cosrx mucin but then read that about the dust mites which I am also allergic to but thankfully I purchased on Amazon sooo I never tried and returned it… I feel you so much on this video.. if the world saw my *probably half expired* skincare stash that no longer gets touched (as a regular consumer with one face) I’d get canceled for sure.😅 I personally love and appreciate your honesty!! If you only share the good and what you finish then how will be narrow down all the options. Sooooo many products look good on paper or are great the first month but don’t compare to the alternatives when used long term. Love this concept.. lets us get insight into your opinion in the longer term!! Thank you!!
I’m allergic to dust mites also get horrible rashes when exposed to dust mites but never had any problems with snail mucin. Have used it for years 🤷♀️

same sentiments with the Isntree Green Tea toner. Can’t see if its working on my skin.
I also have a bad skin reaction to snail mucin and felt like a crazy person because everyone says its non-irritating. It's very validating to see someone else also have that experience! The mixsoon bean essence also gives me that reaction, so I'm thinking it's maybe texture related for me rather than an allergy...??? I also have dust allergies.

I usually give products that don't work for me to my mom because of her mature skin or I use it on my body because my face is not really the same as the rest of my body so maybe give that a try and the toner you can probably put a spray bottle use as a pick me up.
Yesssss....the i bought the snail mucin because it's so hyped and I'm so stupid that I didn't do proper research , I'm also allergic to dust and it didn't work for me at all....and everyone in my house is allergic to dust except my dad who refuses to do skin care so unfortunately I had to throw away that product....i even got the bigger one cause the smaller one was out of stock😭

I also try a lot of products and when they don’t work to me I use them on my legs and feet. I hate waste😢
Do you mind if I ask what kind of allergic reaction you had to the snail mucin? Like red rashy? Or something else? Trying to figure out more about allergic reactions that don’t show with red rashes (aka stereotypical what comes to mind when you think allergy).
What propolis serums do you like if the BOJ one isn’t for you? I love the BOJ but want to try more.

I use up a lot of things on my body if it's not working for my face. If something is really unfortunate... it goes on my feet. 😄 Thankfully, I never get true allergic reactions, so if that happened, I'd just have to toss it or give it to someone else. Not worth the risk in that case.
I do this too! Hence why moisturisers aren’t really here since they’re the easiest to use on the body haha

I just bought the isntree green tea toner and really enjoy it and actually disliked the anua toner - I think I heartleaf does nothing for me compared to the other known soothing ingredients. Interesting how different experiences can be. I am oily - dehydrated.
Strange is cosrx snail essence suit my skin so well but the snail Moisturizer literally dried out my sking and damaged my skin barrier

I have been holding off on buying new products being advertised on social media. I feel like the pr hype train (that's all paid) really is getting appalling imo. For example, when you go to sephora and select 'verified purchase' or 'not incentivized', the 4.5-5 star reviews will drop from 500+ to ZERO.
