you know, i recently watched one of the chibi shorts for link click, and it ended with lg and cxs getting tangled up and smooshed together, cheek to cheek, in red string. and they were roommates honestly, one of the animators for link click is having a laugh at all the rest of us
As the saying goes, like fethered birds flock together, people of the same type are more likely to spend time with each other. Oh, i love their relationship like that!
9:17 If Lu Guang is from a wealthy family, I'm guessing he doesn't get along with them since he's choosing to stay with the broke Cheng Xaioshi. Baby boi, who hurt you? 🥺
YESSSSSS It's very probable that he doesn't get along with his family. It's very sad, but hopefully we get more information of his background... even if the idea of Lu Guang being hurt as a child would be heartbreaking 🥹
I think it's really cool how Lu Guang, the one with white hair, wears white, and represents "light" is also the more cynical, edgier one whereas Cheng Xiaoshi who wears black, has black hair, and represents "dark" is the more optimistic, lovable ball of sunshine/cinnamon roll comedic relief (well when he's not suffering anyway) one. Also I will admit you had me at 4:41 I thought you were going to say something else, so it legit made me laugh when you said business partners. 😂I agree with most of what you said however I don't know about the bit where you said Cheng Xiaoshi could manage time travel on his own. No offense to him, but I don't think he could lol. He needs someone to guide him so he doesn't accidentally (or in some cases intentionally) fuck shit up lol. That being said, obviously Lu Guang couldn't do it all on his own either (he can't even go into the photos) so yeah they both need each other. And just like Lu Guang complements and balances his impulsivity and emotionality, I think Cheng Xiaoshi helps balance Lu Guang in return. Cheng Xiaoshi brings out his more playful side and helps him to not be too serious (like when Lu Guang caught his fist and said that CXS was rock and he was paper lol), and also I think to be more spontaneous as well. Like the one line in the full version of Dive Back In Time which I think is sung from Lu Guang's point of view: "My fate, if it ain't for your misguided taste/I'd turn our so ordinary, fabulously, un-addictively bore out my own brain". Lu Guang knows that without Cheng Xiaoshi his life would be a lot less interesting, so even though he sometimes gets annoyed by his antics, deep down I think Lu Guang appreciates how Cheng Xiaoshi shakes things up and keeps things fresh. He balances Lu Guang's rationality with his empathy and helps to remind Lu Guang that, sometimes, it's better to follow your heart and it's important to try to understand others and put yourself in their shoes.

@@SapphirePyro Oh wow, I really appreciate the long reply to my own long comment lol! Thanks, and yeah definitely check out the lyrics to some of the songs especially Dive Back in Time, and listen to the full versions since those have additional verses you don't hear in the show/OPs/EDs! I have a hearing loss, so I'm always listening to lyric videos or with CC if available, and I always watch with CC or subtitles when I watch movies or shows, too. Sadly Crunchyroll isn't very accessible that way. It has English subtitles but only for the Japanese (or in this case Chinese) dubs, there are no subtitles/CC for the English dubs...

LG and CXS have a relationship like me and my bestie. We are sure we have been lovers in some past life, and parent and child in some other. In yet another life time weve been sisters, brothers, cousins, enemies even haha. our connection just goes beyond this physical plane and it doesnt have to be romantic for us in this life time to want to be in each other's lives everyday. XD
You and your bestie have a very beautiful relationship ❤️❤️ How wonderful it must be to have such a wholesome and loving relationship like with LG and CXS~

Thank you so much 🥹 I love talking about Link Click characters and their relationships, hopefully the upcoming season 2 related video will satisfy you too~
Thanks for creating LC content.🥹🫶🏻 1000% agree they're more than "lovers". This isn't your average BL, just there for fetish or bait. Knowing the writer and director, I think it's more than safe to assume the show is queer coded, whether the characters know it already or will realize it in the future. Let's not forget ep 2 (the noodle lesbians YAY), all the queer coded language + the show going out of its way to draw the parallels between the noodle girls and our boys.
