I type this as someone approaching my forties and think shit, we had it to good in 95. I can remember driving all over yorkshire every Saturday from love2 be to hard times. Great days!! RIP Louise xx
Yes, mate. Same here. I am really sad to listen to this tune and think back in the day when I was clubbin. I listenened to this track over and over again. She would have been massive..She was was massive in my eyes anyway. I'm a DJ for over 15 years....This Tune chokes me the most
The most Amazing vocals of Louise will always be remembered for this superb piece of dance music..a totally awesome track..I’ll never forget the first time i heard it..made my skin crawl then just like it does now..GOOSEBUMPS ❤❤❤
This tune really captures the atmosphere of mid 90’s house. A classic, it’s keep giving. I play it regularly and Louise’s awesome vocals still take my breath away. One can only dream what Shiva could have achieved after this. Never forgotten Louise Dean
Amazing record ,i remember Pete Tong announced what had happen to Shiva members or vocalist .little sketchy what exactly had happened car crash i think he said on his Essential Selection 95 or 96 .a loss i think they were just getting ! Shiva live on right here on the Internet / you tube & our own record collection of fab Shiva Mixes
done a revival set last week and played out with this one! whitehead was an inspiration to me, i,m 42 and still largin it to this era 1995 was my year.....
Loved this tune for years (1995 was imo probably the best year for house music) but maybe thats because i was 15/16 just discovering house and all teh things you do round that age, seem to remember it being a gorgeous summer, me and all my mates getting high etc listening to Jeremy healey, graeme park, whitehead, ( a love 2 be tape that i think started with brm- your loving arms that we never knew who mixed) danny rampling, ian ossia etc etc, got it on vinyl as well, and i never knew she died ...
RIP LOUISE DEAN just found out now! 95 yorkshire classic ... Hard times !massive fan.... Mirfield and huddersfield.Anybody remember after hours club DENDO'S ?
Paul Barker hard times at Huddersfield was my favourite club of all time. Seen all the greats there frankie knuckles, masters at work, David morales fantastic!
Man, I DJ'd there every week for nearly a year or more, Best memories. Kev and Franklin at the door. Martell and Brandy in plastic cups, Red Stripe and the most amazing music and vibe. Just the best time under a red and UV light from 12am to 10am every week. Joy.
They had a video for this and Freedom, both aired on MTV in the UK top 40. It's a shame that I taped only the sound back then. I check from time to time if someone uploads it but those seem to be lost forever...
Your right m8,Louise Dean passed away in June 1995 bless her soul. She died in a terrible car accident as im sure you know, the other guys mistaken but he was on a stag do so he were probably mindles anyway.
She died 18th June 1995 mate in a car accident so you can't have seen Louise Dean but they may have had another singer but it's doubtful the lads in the band said they wouldn't do that as a mark of respect.
RIP Louise Huddersfield’s finest never forgotten. ❤
