  • In this video, I cycled from Levisham railway station on the North Yorkshire Moors railway and through a lot of forestry trails to take me to Rosedale Abbey. I ride around the old industrial railway line have a quick look at some industrial ruins and then I cycle down chimney bank which at one point was Britain's steepest Road with a 1:3 gradient.

I enjoyed it, lovely place to ride or hike, i ride a few days a week, still managing 20, miles without bother, but now im 66 i keep thinking of going electric, being retired gives you the time to get out, yes, i certainly see you enjoyed it, i get home knackered with a smile on my face, its the sense of achievement. 👍

Evening Mark. I have some ordinary bikes but because of where I live, I am always buggered before I've gone anywhere because of the hills. My size and weight doesn't help either. Having an e-bike has been like a time machine for me and given me my youth back. It can still be hard work peddling but it's the range and the distance you can go and it is fantastic. It is a shame you're not near me, otherwise you could've had a go.

Glad to see you back on your bike and out and about. I’m just back on a bike after 40 years and enjoying every minute. I fancy a pork pie now .

Evening Tony. 40 years wow. That is a big space of time. How are you finding it.
Did you manage to get a pork pie. Your comment about a pork pie is now making me want one. 😀

@@geoffcarol1 bloody hard lol but enjoying it. I used to cycle 20-25 miles a day when i was younger. I went round the block when i started cycling again - 0.6 miles and was breathing out my arse but carried on. Now up to six miles lol. I have an electric fat bike similar to yours which i find bloody amazing. As for the pork pie i ended up with a scotch egg lol.

Great place to ride the Ranger nice video too Geoff 👍
I saw something on Facebook about your Ranger showing
Code 21? Was that your rear motor? And how did you resolve the
Problem? I’ve done approx 700 miles with no issues yet 😅
How many miles have you done on your Ranger? Cheers Geoff
PS Great you mentioned Tom he will love that 👋👋

Evening John. They are 21 is to do with the motor or the connection to the motor. I did think I had fixed the problem but I hadn't.
Upon discussions with the factory we believe it is possibly the pedal sensor. I need to get a crank puller so I can get to it just to make sure, that all the connections to it are solid and good. I removed the plastic trim where the controller is down by the pedals and everything looks clean and dry and in good condition inside. The factory have been good with me and given me a discount as the pedal centre is out of warranty but I think they have been very fair and I appreciate that. My Ranger has done about 1300 miles but I haven't written it for months due to building the bungalow. I will do an update on my bike just to let everybody else know on the forum that I have been able to sort it out once and for all. thank you for such a great comment and the questions too. I really enjoy comments like this.

Hi Geoffrey, hope all is well there! I'm so glad to see you taking a day and getting out on the Ranger. Great video and what a beautiful place to ride! My Border Collies love to watch the sheep in this video on the big tv! Thanks for showing the old buildings and talking about the history, it's always so interesting. Best and don't work too hard!
