I've got the Moto G Power 2020, and it's still going. Selling points on this for me (in order of importance) are 8GB RAM, A14/15, UFS 128GB, 5G, 120Hz.
People have hated on this phone in the tech community but it actually looks like a decent device. And if you get it through Straight Talk and activate it with a $45 plan the phone is free at wal mart now. I agree with the phrase it gets the job done. Sums up every Motorola I’ve ever had. Does everything I need it to at a reasonable price. How are calls on this phone? I have the G play 2024 and I love it on everything but call quality.
This phone needs a lot of adjustments out the box like finding and deleting/disabling bloatware or unnecessary features. I wish I spent a little extra for the Moto G (2024) with the Snapdragon Chip but for this price it's impressive what you get. As for the call quality, it sounds and feels cheap. Sometimes the phone feels fast and then sluggish.
I just bought this last week on Prime day for $200. It feels more mid-range than budget. Nice decent specs, NFC, stereo speakers, lots of space. One OS upgrade promised and 3 years of security updates is honestly fine, as the battery won't last past 3 years. And for the price, it's a decent daily driver for me
Recently purchased this device and haven't had a great deal of time of use with it but coming from the Moto g stylus 2022 4G this is a huge step up for me
The Moto G Power 5G 2025 is going to be an exciting device. If they keep the headphone jack and micro sd card and upgrade to like a Dimensity 7200, that shit would mog any phone in the price range
Great review! This device doesn’t get much coverage in the tech space on TH-cam but it’s an important part of that budget to midrange series of phones. The only downside is only 1 OS update and 3 years of bimonthly security updates. And they should’ve went with a pOled display with higher peak brightness. Otherwise, it’s a solid device at $279.
I've had my Power 2024 for a little over a month, it's a solid phone and feels like an upgrade vs. my previous 2021 Stylus 5G, my only gripe would be the average camera quality, the main rear camera quality doesnt look any better than my 3 year old Stylus and there's even a little bit of chromatic aberration in the Power's photos, but I got the Power for $89 through Cricket so can't really complain (existing customer upgrade). Next upgrade cycle (May 2025) I'll go back to a Stylus as I didn't realize Motorola uses better quality camera hardware in those and as of 2024 they're using OLED displays as well.
I also had no idea the Stylus was the top Moto G model. They're always changing up the models and at this point I think maybe they are trying to confuse customers. I remember when the regular Moto G was the top Moto G model and the power was below it. This year it's the stylus? Let's see what they do next year.
Question: I didn't get a charging adapter in the Straight Talk Box with this new phone for some reason. (The kid in Walmart electronics set it up for me with Straight Talk - it took 1 arduous hr. Maybe he took it out of the box, and left it out accidentally?). I still have the adapter from my lost Moto G Pure. It's white, and is unfortunately rated at only 5V/2A = 10W input charge rate. I need an adapter that can do a 30W charge rate, right??
@@_AlteredTechYeah. So I need a 30 amp rated fast charging wall outlet adapter. Is it worth it to get the $25 - $30 Motorola adapter that works with this phone's software? Or to buy a smaller, cheap $10 30 amp one at Walmart. I'm on the road - no mailbox right now.
Yo! Been debating it. Heard good things and bad things with the last update. Gonna have to buy it outright because T-Mobile dropped them. I have my eyes on the S24 Ultra but let’s see if a good oneplus deal arrives. Software update been crap I’ve heard, $799 seems a lot to deal with that
I don't know of any brown versions, but $200 extra for more memory on a phone like this is a lot. If you are talking storage memory, it has an expandable card slot. If you mean more RAM, well it depends on how many Apps you use.
The black one is the 2023. 2024 only comes in navy blue and lilac. The cream color one is the 2024 stylus (also in red). I think the 2024 G (not Power G just G) is green. Theres 3 versions of this phone. Personally ive never had a bad motorola. Currently using a Samsung flip. Never again

the only issue Ive had after a month is finding a case that fits right and utilises all the function's.
Go to the store where you got your phone, they should have cellphone cases for it👍

Moto is simply a good device company. Many choices and ease of use
Lost my Moto G Pure Budget Phone on the Bus. Got this one for FREE! Through Straight Talk. Glad I lost it 😆.

Same here but I have to admit the fuel of the back of this device is pretty premium
Did you say this phone have wireless ?charging
