I knew this guidebook would be good because her Shadowland Tarot book was so great. Love the colored "tabs" in it as well. I like a deck that gets you thinking about the cards a bit differently and I always enjoy her art.
Thanks for showing this deck and especially for sharing a layout of cards at the end. Having the guidebook is ‘the carrot’ for me, as I find the artwork creepy. But I found Deviant Moon Tarot creepy at first and now I love it.
Monica’s so genius. Amazing work. Red feather is getting better. I love when you do readings with new decks. Have you looked at Kelly F’s AI decks. I really want to know your thoughts on her creative process to make the decks. Thanks for continuing to show up.
I dig this deck alot. If it were JUST dolls, it would be gimmicky, but while the cards so perfectly capture that old doll pieces aesthetic there is a great amount of interpretive depth here. And I dig the dark nail polish as a goth bitch from way back.
Ooo a deck that has actually peaked my interest. 1st time this year. Interesting. Has carnival at the end of the world vibes. Only not as excludingly abstract, or art school mean girl.
Ooh, this is an interesting one. Monica Bodirsky always creates such great decks. The court names remind me of Ceder McCloud's Numinous Tarot (Dreamers, Explorers, Creators, Mystics for Page, Knight, Queen and King respectively). Thank you for sharing this.
I just got this yesterday and love the art! I was worried about the card stock and pleasantly surprised. Ready to dive in to the book. I got an old copy of Shining Tribe thinking I was ready for a cave painting type of art style but this is really what’s hitting the spot. Always love to hear your take, Tom. Thanks. 🙏🏻
Of course Frida is open to innovative art. I know what it is... Primordial Dreams Tarot and I am here for it. Ethony hates it. I adore the idea of removing all the civilization from Tarot and I think it is refreshing. ❤🤎🖤

Were you thinking of the Carnival at the End of the World Tarot? I like this one much better 😊

I really like that this is art is creepy in order to communicate something important vs just creepy as a kitchy theme that is popular but meaningless.
A very cool deck with a really nice guidebook. I enjoyed watching your very excellent review of this deck. Thank you!
