New scenes, new voice lines, so much new! Knuckles gets to be his badass self! Stone gets to be funny! Robotnik gets to be utterly terrifying! Tails gets to be adorable, and Sonic gets to be his unstoppable, sarcastic self! It’s amazing. It’s all uphill from here!

@Kian in sonic 3 and knuckles, when robotnik betrayed knuckles and stole the master emerald, we see seven emeralds. He doesn’t take them and only took the master emerald. If sonic collected all seven emeralds or not the. We get two different endings. It’s obviously a bigger surprise than we think it is. Maybe they figured out a proper way to introduce the seven emeralds without spending the whole movie collecting them.
So I'm not the only one who thought this! This and the fact months ago Majdoub tweeted "Jems" as reply to 'summarize a movie badly' has me convinced even more that the Master Emerald isn't the only emerald we will see. (Also, I remember reading how Fowler wouldn't confirm or deny any other existing lore being implemented into the movie.)
Honestly, as soon as I figure out a time for when me and a couple other people know what time to see it, I'm gonna order the tickets as soon as possible. I'm so hyped for this movie! The only sad thing is that they reuse that same clip of Tails from the first movie. I just wished they'd use some new dialogue. He barely says anything in this trailer. Ok what did I think of the trailer? Everything was amazing. BUT why is no one talking about the worldbuilding it apparently has? It is looking like the guys behind the movie are really going full force on this one. They have multiple worlds now (from the looks of it), the go full on backstory mode with the owl statue as hint to the one who raised sonic. I don't know to much about the whole backstory of Sonic and where he grew up but you saw a little bit of it in the first movie but now they are going deeper into that. Also Robotnik, who I refuse to call Eggman at this point in the movies ;) is going all out. I believe I read that Jim found Robotnik to be a perfect character for him and he was enjoying it a lot. They also announced a series for Knuckles alone...... which is epic and don't forget that movie 3 IS happening. That could mean that this movie will have a cliffhanger or holes in the story that will be cleared up in the next movie. So this is starting to look like the SCU (Sonic Cinematic Universe) LETS GOOOOO

If I have one worry, it's that we don't see a lot of Tails in these trailers. That's always been a problem with the character; that he's underutilized which causes people to complain that he's just "annoying and useless!" Heck, people said that about Tails in games like Sonic Adventure and SA2, which have arguably his best portrayals (IMO, these ARE Tails' best portrayals!) But that's unfortunately not stopped Sonic whiners, haters and detractors whining "WAAHH HE SUCKS! JUST GET RID OF HIM! REEE" which causes Sega to, not get rid of him, but shove him to the sidelines twiddling his thumbs with absolutely nothing worthwhile to do or anything that justifies him being there! Which sucks for fans like me who want to see him being treated with some dignity again!
