Dan was the perfect singer for Nazareth and his voice was unique and instantly recognizable. Lots of great singers in the world but there are not many who are unique and instantly recognizable.
Heard my dad playin this in like 1999 when I was 5... it's now 22 years later n I still rock Nazareth...hair of the dog...love hurts...they came to canada and played at a bar called bubba's before to!!!! I was a kid and kept sneaking in the back to see everyone ...it was like something out of roadhouse LOL
Yup! cruising around in an old 68 dodge Polara coupe cranking up the old 8-track, man those were simpler times, ✌🤞🤟🤘back then...outstanding rock music that was music.😎
What was that joke about playing a blues song backwards and the guys alone and then his wife comes back? His dog comes back from the dead? I wish I could remember haha
Woke up this morning,
Dan McCafferty had died.
I know I'll miss him
Sat down and cried.
Awwww 😢

If you grew up in Canada and came of age in the mid to late 1970’s, this was a must have album. Many fond memories of listening to this album.
Late 80's for me!!
Saw this group in 1976 in Saskatoon Saskatchewan, Canada. Was an awesome concert, the whole venue was silent for Love Hurts. What an epic era.
That was my dad. He got me into nazareth 🫡
If you grew up in the UK as well!
Yea, me too.
In the late 70’s, grade 10… I rocked out to this album. And decades later, late 50’s, I still rock out to this album.

Thats because it's just plain incredible music.
I discovered this album through my older brother Steve. Was rocking out to this in the 80s! Still rocking out to it in my early 50s. :)
@@stanburk7392 Dead right my friend!
Nazareth was probably the most underrated band of the 70s. They were friggin awesome man.
I want to go back. Music was so awesome in the 70's.
There should at least be 70s parties..like a rock concert but only 70s music and not the stuff you hear on the radio
It's 2024 and every song on this album a classic.
The beginning of this song still gives me shivers
Me too!
Yup
These guys rocked. This was easily one of their best.
Manny Charlton was one of the most underrated guitar players. R.I.P.

It was great growing up in the 70's, graduating high school, moving out, moving on and having the greatest music the 70's could offer!
