Love how Ant is a fellow need, dnd miniatures etc, drawing maps for worlds is fun. My hubby who says he's not creative makes the most amazing labyrinths and dungeons as well as quests for us. We're all creative in our own way
You two make the loveliest couple. Ant, thank you for showing a different perspective (I always see flowers, too). Harriet, thank you for sharing Ant with us. 😊
This book it going to also relieve stress and anxiety it's going to make you realize you can do art and Harriet I love company when I do art but no one's interested to do art around me so I can tell you are feeling supported by Ant amd he's enjoying himself too. I totally love your vids Harriet you are sich a joyful person thank you for that ❤❤
How lovely to see you both and the different interpretations! How true about school experiences and put downs. How devastating a few harsh words can be.
This was very interesting. The best part was that there was no right or wrong way to approach this. At first, as I watched, I thought I could never draw on the paper for fear of doing it wrong, but it became fun to see something imerge from each of you. It was lovely. Thank you.🌺
Also appreciate Ant's remarks about his Art Teacher! Gr-r-r!!! When the idea is to allow a child to show creativity ... only to get a poor response from the teacher... they should never grade art!!! Thank you Ant for sharing a bit and for your art! You two do well together ❤️!!! With love from a California Gramma ❤️
This is exactly what I do to relax before bed-I do a batch of watercolor pages so I always have something to fill in with doodles. I love that you’ve created this book and the smooth paper vs textured watercolor pages will add variety to my doodling life! ❤
Ant sees negative space first. Fascinating! I am in awe. My brain totally stutters over the concept of negative space. Humans are marvelously diverse. Thanks for a great video.😁😁
This was a fantastic video. I so enjoyed watching both of you. So creative. Harriet I hope you do a video of one of those florals once your book comes out to give us less creative individuals some great ideas. 😊❤
It was nice seeing you both interact on here. The different opinions and what you both see and how differently you are creative wise. Enjoyed watching this.
This reminds me very much of a game my Dad and I used to do. We are both ‘arty’ so we used to take it in turns drawing a squiggle then we took in turns to make something out of each others squiggle. We’d then award each other points. My Mom says I was born with a pen in my hand. If I’m making a call and I’m put on hold, by the time the calls over my piece of paper to take notes is covered in doodles.😂Love your work, so therapeutic ❤
This video was a great intro to this concept! I love the idea of taking this on road trips, the beach, waiting rooms! So easy to carry with minimal supplies!
It was fun to watch you and your lovely hubby play on the art pages just disappointed there was no bickering! 😂😂😂😂 I think it’s a great idea to have a guest work along side and you’re so lovely and supportive I like how each of you saw things differently and you each influenced the other! You saw an elephant in the flower picture and a flower found it’s way into your husband’s page 😂 Well done (and I found it so relaxing to watch, I was sad to see it end!)
@@deWintonPaperCo maps, dice etc! Draw anf paint Ant's character (or a character you would imagine as yours) and show ppl an example of how to draw and paint their own... or draw and paint a dragon :D
Yaaay Ant! Loved your creative squiggles and that last critter was terrific! Really great surprise to have you with us, lovely relaxed atmosphere… wonderful job Harriet, exciting you have a new book for the collection, well done you! thank you both ❤❤🇮🇹
I love the idea for your new book which I am pre-ordering and really enjoy this relaxing time with you two. I’m addicted to your voices, accent and your reflection. Lots of love sent your way from Vancouver island :-)
My art teacher told me 'I couldn't draw because I am left-handed'. 🙃Interesting to see how you and Ant approach the creative process. I think our environment, interests, experiences mould our creative ability. E.g Ant working in an aquarium, Star Wars, Dungeons and dragons, photography etc. How on earth did you see an elephant? When I looked at the shapes, I immediately saw outlines of countries in the negative spaces between the colours. Love the chat between you two and Ant's reverse colouring/doodling. The book would be a good addition to christmas party games-give each guest a page and see what they do. Good for de-stressing and mental well being. Really interesting how the brain process what we see. Love the video. Opps I must stop now.
Ant really got creative and made some cute figures. Great job on your book Harriett. This book will be so good for people of all ages. Very therapudic for people.
This was wonderful. It was great to have you together. Ant, you did an awesome job, I'm fascinated by what you saw in the paintings. Harriet, fabulous job on the book! I've preordered it and can't wait to receive it!!
What a super idea to create this book!! It reminds me of how I often look for things in the clouds. I’m definitely ordering this book! How could anyone not like it! Do you know, when I was teaching, each day I would put a squiggle on the board, and one student would come up and finish it into a drawing. It was always such fun to see their creations! Loved seeing your hubby on the video! He’s a great guy! Don’t ever stop saying, “ Welcome Along!” 😊👍also I should have added, “ So grab your paints, and let’s get started!”👍
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and that the book resonates with you. Your teaching story sounds like a lot of fun!
I absolutely love this idea! Ink and wash is one of my favorite techniques so I feel like this is a great, low pressure way to practice the ink part. Plus a wonderful, relaxing way to just exercise your creativity! I preordered it last night as soon as I saw your Instagram post. Loved seeing Ant in front of the camera and seeing the way you both interpreted the pages differently!
That's was fantastic! Yes, a lot of Art teachers were like that! I had an Art teacher who 40 years later is still helping me! Thank you for this and Can't Wait to get my Book!!! Just in time for the an Early holiday gift to myself! ❤❤
Love seeing the different approaches. Both are wonderful. Sometime I get my husband to do some art with me and it is always an adventure! Wonderful to have your book to look forward . Pre-ordered.
It was lovely watching the two of you on screen. That made it a fun video, different and fun. You might teach Ant )and us) a simple landscape; he might discover he loves painting after all, and we will get another of your super videos. Thanks, Harriet.
genius! I love the beauty of this and the fact it encourages creativity. I wish you the best in sales! I'm going to order one for a birthday present to myself!
Lovely book and concept. I pre- ordered mine yesterday A bit of a wait in the US til November. Ant did a fantastic job. especially his nod to star wars. Thank you
So cool! Love the concept. Funny enough first things i spotted were a bird and a turtle. P.S both a fan of watercolor and DnD so this videos was a nice surprise. 😊
OOOMG. Hi Ant! Bless you for the ah chooo lol You are an amazing producer of my teachers lesson. great eye you have shutter bug. Peace. I played D&D in the 80's :D
It was so great seeing Ant! As a fellow creative partnered with a nerd, I can relate. ♥ The Amazon page says that the book has 80 backgrounds. Is that correct? Can't wait to get mine, I love all of the pages you showed us. Fun video! 🙂
I LOVE Ant's reverse coloring! His doodles are so creative and he sees such interesting shapes. I especially love the little bird. I really like the abstract pages for inspiring creativity, but the others are good for future watercolor projects.
So english---stop whinging about the weather. As an american that reads a million english, scottish mysteries I find myself speaking in British terms sometimes when I have been too immersed in a book :). Good luck with the new book.
Suggestion for hay fever, I got sensitivity testing and desensitisation injections over a year, I was terrible with hay fever, Since desensitised rarely get hay fever, it’s lasted for about 40 yrs. Go see an allergist.

Hope you enjoy it!
I love this video. We need more of you two together. ❤
Also, I'm thinking some D+D inspired watercolor would be fuuuuuuun!
it would wouldnt it, although D&D is so subjective, I'm not sure what we could create that would have universal D&D relevance.

is it available in Canada yet?
It's only available for pre-order on Amazon US (or other UK stores) so far but I'm not sure on the international roll out just yet.
Yes, Amazon Canada has it available too.👍@@deWintonPaperCo
That looks fun. Does Ant paint Warhammer? He mentioned he paints models.
