Individuals who see these as traits that are tantamount to one's embodiment as a person, know what it means to be a representation of self, family and country. Mwenesi, you've said it as it is. And in all fairness, I believe it should not only embody public office, but rather the whole 9 yards. People out there NEED to know, the way they carry themselves, leaves a lasting impression on the recipients. Call me a snob or whatever, but a prim and proper character will forever speak volumes in my books. We all can't be the same, but it's a breath of fresh air to see and hear that someone out there has the same mindset on character refinement a personal growth.P.S. Pardon me, but I had to rave a little bit. It's good to see there's a platform for forward thinkers.
This subject has another major implication. As we begin to outsource our jobs to machines and artificial intelligence, we will have to become better at doing the skills that robots and machines are bad at. These "soft" skills fit that description perfectly. The time is coming when being more "human" (creative, humorous, witty, fun and so on) will have a greater significance in the job market.
