First, yes, that big hitting move is designed to do a stupid amount of damage but it's also astoundingly hard to pull off. It's a 4-part input (236A for the sweep, 236B for the launch, 236C for the jump, and 360AB for the big hit). Nearly all of which you have to time perfectly for a 1-frame clean hit. And depending on where the characters are, the timing is different. Mid screen or in the corner? Different timing. The characters are right next to each other or far enough to just barely clip? Different timing. Facing left or right?...You get the idea. So it's not like you can learn to do it through muscle memory alone, you have to rely on some visual tell as well. And yeah, failing to do so is also pretty negative. Not quite enough to be punishable I think but it definitely leaves you open enough to get set up on. Not to mention depending on where you were, it can easily land you in the corner. This whole move is a gamble. To give the actual numbers. According to the wiki, failing the clean hit does 1000 damage. Pulling it off correctly does 21500 damage. A quite substantial increase. But despite the massive reward, It's so hard to pull off with so much risk that most Fiona mains don't bother with it outside of joking around. Secondly, I did not know that Fiona is able to follow up with the Wind Arcana's Arcana Blaze. I can't quite tell if there's just that much hit stun to get an OTG or if the Extend Force managed to cancel some of the recovery upon landing but still, wow. All that and Fiona, funnily, is only considered to be roughly lower mid-tier.
Yeah Nami’s Thunderbolt Tempo does so much damage. For real though kudos to whoever submitted One Piece Fighting Adventure on here I never expected that
17:44 the way All-Stars works is the lower health someone is the easier it is to pin them, BUT if they've lost all their health and are put into the flashing red zone then a finisher will just straight-up knock them out. Finishers require going into an IK-style mode where you hype yourself up and glow yellow so it is abundantly clear when someone is gonna go for one. Even at 0 health pinning someone can be a hassle so it often comes down to who's going to send their opponent to the shadow realm first. Also the combo/reversal game is ridiculous for some reason.
I could not possibly be more sure that that last Kyanta clip would go the way it did. Mfs gave a new character 85 health, you know they're balancing them to be a menace.
It's a good thing I recently rewatched Lythero's Phoenix wright guide for fun cuz I immediately recognized that you could do air throw into lvl 3 into lvl 1 otg even if turnabout meter was too low for a normal turnabout loop instead
The fact that Doctor K looks so tame at first with his hands behind his back barely even moving in neutral, then SITS ON A CHAIR for a second, before suddenly just busting out this crazy spinning chair dash really made me lose it.
It Takes Two is a magical experience! Me and my partner were freaking out during this fighting game segment haha, we were laughing so hard cause I wasn't the one controlling May and they've never played a FG, but then my partner actually threw out a fireball and it was the hypest thing in the world
You have NO idea how fast my neurons activated as soon as I saw Fiona landing a hit and realized what's going to happen. Like, you don't submit a Fiona clip and have her NOT land the clean hit, come on. On another note, submitting Fighting EX Layer feels like a crime if only because there are so many variables you have to be aware of, even if they are shown on the screen. You might as well submit a Mugen clip with the amount of wildly different shit people can do there.
This has become my absolute favorite series to watch on TH-cam. I wish I could watch it live more than I do, so thank you Moste for the super awesome edit!

I love the marvel 3 phoenix clip, seeing how many people voted yes while I was sitting over here, it's a throw...throws HEAVILY scale combos and supers in marvel 3. it would have killed...if he didn't miss the otg with with the papers, AND or if he had a little bit more x-factor time. (Yes I know he got the kill anyways.)
Level 3 Hyper combos are unaffected by damage scaling. Since it was a Phoenix Wright in turnabout mode with 3+ meters, the fact that it was a throw starter had no impact at all.

I think I've hit the Finest on that Fiona move once ever in training mode. You think one frame links are hard? Try doing a one frame that varies based on how close they are to the wall. Arcana Heart is filled with gimmick moves that require all sorts of whacky inputs and precision.
I have now habitually said out loud while watching the YT WiK "yo but an OTG though" every time Sajam pauses to lament a no, just in case he mixes us into not seeing the sick OTG finish for the yes.
For the Tekken 7 clip, characters in some stances are considered airborne which changes the amount of damage they take from combos. If Zafina had been using a regular move she was probably hella dead
