The last scene in the stack - as a Vietnam vet, I can say; a lot of times, what a warrior needs more than anything is someone to just give a hug and say "It's okay, I've got your back," whether it's verbal or with that hug. Nell and Eric just did that for each other. Romance and sex had nothing to do with it - it's the love of two "brothers in arms" that you get in the foxhole, in the trenches, running the jungle trails or up and down the mountains - anywhere you're fighting the good fight, for the righteous cause.
It bothers me that they're friends with their psychologist. You're not supposed to have a relationship outside of your appointments with them ever. Not even if they stopped being your psychologist 25+ years ago
