They threw the game, and the next match I was tank against them. They spent the entire match trying to single me out, but I let my team know what had happened and we all countered their bitch asses and shut them down.

Whatever happens by the end of the game I just ask the rest of the team if they're still talking, I muted them ages ago. I turn mute off JUST long enough to hear them lose their shit knowing I wasn't listening the whole time. Is it petty...yes...but I eat the tantrum, it gives me sustenance at that point.
I had this experience before and the crazy thing is if they would've asked me nicely if they could play Mercy instead of typing in all caps "GET OFF MERCY" I would've switched off her but I don't reward bad behavior so I didn't get off Mercy so they went Lifeweaver and kept trying to pull me into the enemy team but my movement was on point that game and I never died but they just kept dying. The entire match they were going off in chat and they were also duo'd with the tank who started joining in on it and I was just being so sarcastic and petty back to them. Glad it was only a QP match and I haven't experienced something like that since.

Wow, Ive actually play with most of these people from the game in my rank this and last week. First off, Starlight is great mercy! I kiri main but got to kiri dps. I never talk or join chat but I remember starlight as I gave her a shout out. The game no one died but my aggro butt as a kiri dps twice, love Starlight's mercy!!!. Pandabear I remember avoiding her for a few weeks, she played not a great zarya, and she plays moira dps which will cost the team over and over. Also there was one super annoying game with her that started in team voice I guess and mid and ending game, teammate was just arguing back in chat, so I got half the drama of people calling each other bad. I am soooo freakin glad I never join voicechat. I just ping. Never would I really know what goes on with Panda's side or in the team voice. Panda is super toxic and horrible experience to play with. Win or Lose, winning not worth it when Panda is around. Shoutout to Man's Doomfirst and Ashe/76 daddy's they are non toxic teammates, and the best Starlight!

I main her and I've had a couple episodes where if I picked her first in quickplay, the other support or their duo will start talking about how much of a terrible mercy I am and how they're better. 🙄 I believe these people are the minority, but there is still some toxic competitiveness in the community because some people tie this hero too much to their own self-esteem.
this isn't abnormal at all, happens on a lot of characters i usually ignore people who ask (i meant rudely) because this attitude is what comes next whether you switch or not. Theres a few that are half ok. But even then they complain the second you don't give it
i play junk go 12k dmg, and my teammate will go 6k and still want me to switch for them. then i switch and do another 12k while they do 3k, and make me wonder what is the reason they wanted it in the first place.

I remember on ow 1, I had a similar issue. Picked mercy cause I was one tricking her at the time, the second sup was too and kept complaigning the whole round and said many time we were losing because I played bad, I did good btw. She insta lock her next round, do the worst shit I saw and we lost. I played Ana instead and still did good with her (I was one tricking mercy in rank but playing every hero in qp). Guess I was not the problem. Gently reminded her we apparently were losing cause of my "terrible Mercy gameplay" and than strangely we lost even faster since she insta locked her. Never would she blue beam but instead was healing full health target but I, ME, was the problem. Those One Trick Mercy are so egocentric they think they're the best Mercy in the world when a cat with mitt would play better than them. 🤦♀

Picked mercy cause I was one tricking her at the time, the second sup was too and kept complaigning the whole round and said many time we were losing because I played bad, I did good btw. She insta lock her next round, do the worst shit I saw and we lost. I played Ana instead and still did good with her (I was one tricking mercy in rank but playing every hero in qp). Guess I was not the problem. Gently reminded her we apparently were losing cause of my "terrible Mercy gameplay" and than strangely we lost even faster since she insta locked her. Never would she blue beam but instead was healing full health target but I, ME, was the problem. Those One Trick Mercy are so egocentric they think they're the best Mercy in the world when a cat with mitt would play better than them. 🤦♀

And I'm also Mercy hand .. she talks alone in vocal to insult me to tell me to fuck me to heal me and when I revived her she told me I don't want your Rez .. second round she directly took mercy and was horrible saying it was my fault .. When I die she tbag me and she throws the game.. this person need to ban . I even wonder if it doesn't have a recorded voice because she told me exactly the same things when I wanted to take care of her she told me I don't need you and many other similar things and on the same timbre of voice..

Tbh i played support often and trust me if i had the mercy onw trick complaining about someone else picking mercy.i would of just told her to shut up and stop complaining. And focus on your job.
