its the perfect revival song from the 90ies - with some drum and bass elements...💛💚💙💜 this is the song Germany should ve sent but never did... so Austria... did it and it stands out
I think there are other ways to introduce nostalgia that doesn't sound so dated. I think those of us that say it sounds dated is because it just sounds like it is 100% plucked from that era as opposed to alluding to the time by borrowing elements and sounds. Not to say this isn't nostalgic for some people because it is, for people who lived through that time and have positive associations with those sounds. But for people who don't, borrowing elements and putting a tiny fresh twist would allow others to embrace it easier, not sound as dated, while still preserving the nostalgic sound. But they went with this route so it is what it is.
This underwhelms at first listening…HOWEVER…underwhelming in the same way that Fuego did when we just had the commercial-sponsored video (remember Fyffe bananas!…lol). This could really take life on the stage in Malmö. Hugh potential but Austria has a proven track record of being weak on staging which is really unfortunate for their artist…ORF please prove me wrong!
Not my cup of tea. I don't understand the hype the fandom has around this song. I mean yeah it's anthemic and probably nostalgic for some, but it's sooo dated and not in a good way for me, maybe because it doesn't have any fresh twist to it. It just sounds like a cheap replica. But maybe I'm biased because while I may appreciate other sounds coming from that era, this is not one of them. From a song construction side, this is also basic af. But it will definitely get love in the clubs and the live will get the crowd going.
How can it be dated if it's the first happy hardcore song ever in Eurovision 🙃🙃🙃 This is so 90's, I guess you might just be to young to get it... Thanks for the reaction though ❤❤❤🫶🫶🫶
Something being the first of its kind in Eurovision (and this isn't happy hardcore) doesn't mean it's not dated. This is pure 90s. It's fun, it's looking like it has potential to be polished and come alive on stage, and I'm looking forward to seeing it live. That doesn't stop it from perhaps sounding a tad dated.

I mean, this is supposed to sound dated. That's what makes it great! Nostalgia.

My favourite part is the bridge, it sounds like sci-fi blasters going "pow pow"!
Maybe as a studio it feels a little awkward and disjointed but it’ll work well live IMO
I think it has some good live potential with the right staging!
