Because it is written as a chasim.
Genesis 2:7 is not stating that God made man after the seventh day.
That is a false assumption that leads to a false conclusion.

Modern day Christianity is FULL of assumptions that lead to false conclusions, but we dont seem to mind all of those.
      - "Genesis 2:4 onward is a part of Day 6 in chapter 1"
      - "Adam and Eve were the ones talked about in chapter 1"
      - "Cain's wife was his sister"
      - "Cain meant FUTURE people that would find him and kill him" (Gen 4:14)
      - "God placed that protective mark upon Cain for FUTURE people" (even though they would be clueless as to why he had the mark)
I mean its just become so silly . All we have to do was admit that we've been WRONG for a very long time due to reading the Bible with a 21 century mindset instead of one from 4000 years ago.
We're supposed to desire Truth above all else as Christians.
Remember the Pharisees were WAAAAAY off when Jesus came and they were supposed to be the religious "experts".

The response given was a literal response to the question asked. But the holy spirit is truth. The beginning of life does not begin with your heart, mind, or breath. It begins with your soul, Genesis 1:27. God is Spirit so when He made man and woman in His Likeness, He was referring to the soul of man. The very thing which is not seen. On the sixth day God created the soul of man. Genesis 2:7 chronicles the seventh day. What you call rest is a little rest but that is not the same thing as Shalom. On the seventh day, God forms the shell of man to house the soul and gives man the breath of Life which is the Spirit of God.
Again, the body is the shell by which it houses the very expression of God (His Likeness).
David futher confirms this in Pslams 139:13-16, 13 For You have created my conscience. You knit me together in my mothers womb. 14 I praise You, for I am awesomely, wonderfully made! Wonderful are Your works and my soul knows that very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw me when I was unformed, and in Your book were written the days that were formed when not one of them had come to be.
How could Yahweh see David while he was unformed? Because Yahweh saw the soul of man. This is why God says before you were in the womb, he forknew us. In the flesh we all look different but our souls reflect the very image of God. You have to allow the Ruach Hakodesh lead you to this understanding. Because no logical understanding can explain Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 2:7

Genesis 1 on the 6th day represents God creating the spirit of man. Genesis 2 on the 7th day is God creating the body to be able to breathe His breath of life into. Therefore, creating us into a living soul which distinguishes us from being a robot.

@Antstrumentals Good point. That would be a topic to explore. Gleason Archer makes this important observation on the use of God [Elohim] in Chapter 1 and Lord God [Elohim YHWH/Adonai] in Chapter 2: “Elohim” was the only name of God appropriate in a narrative of God’s work of creation as Ruler over all nature and the universe. But in chapter 2 He comes into a personal covenant with Adam and Eve; and therefore to them God (Elohim) displayed Himself as “Yahweh,” the God of grace and covenant" (Gleason L. Archer, New International Encyclopedia of Bible Difficulties, Zondervan’s Understand the Bible Reference Series [Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan Publishing House, 1982], 67).

Im not sure that's a great answer. Would the Origins Theory that each story came from the two Jewsish tribes then brought together at the 2nd temple not make a lot more historical sense? Both also use a different word for God and litelary analysis would heavily support this to.

What about the parable of the wheat and the tares. How God/farmer planted the wheat(children of God) then rested and during his rest The wicked one/enemy snuck in and planted the tares(children of the devil).

    • @BibleAnswerMan
      @BibleAnswerMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The parable of the wheat and tares is in Matthew 13:24-27. But Jesus gives a different explanation for the parable than the one you gave. The Lord explained the parable this way:
“The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
This means that from the present to the final judgment both believers and unbelievers will be together in the world, and even in the places where Christians gather, like sanctuaries, worship centers, parishes, houses, etc.
Of course, Christians are to be so familiar with the truth that they can spot the counterfeit instantaneously. They are to contend for the faith (Jude 3-4).

Wrong. It is black and white. The Word can not be changed by theology

  • @vacaloca5575

Actually, there is only one creation story. While 1:26 says "create", 2:7 does not; instead, it says FORMS the man, and hence transforms the man, since he has already been created in 2:7. The hebrew is very explicit in this regard, and no one should deny this, for the scripture cannot be changed. Furthermore, while 2:7 is occurring during the seventh day for God, it is not and cannot be occurring as a seventh day for the humans, for obvious reasons.
Sorry to contradict you. The first chapters of Genesis are chronological, or don't you see that there is a day one, a second day, a third day, and so on til the seventh day... and that's not chronological enough for you?

God created male and female on the 6th day. Je told them to go replenish the earth. Was he talking to himself?
A person told me God had formed a template. I told him God doesn't need a template. So, God told the template to go replendish the earth? Ridiculous.
On the 7th day as He rested He realized He had not created anyone to tend to the GARDEN OF EDEN. Therefore Adam was created.
Who do you think Cain was afraid of when God put him out of Eden? Those people!

    • @BibleAnswerMan

@maiervin7946 ~ Cain was already outside the Garden of Eden. After the murder of Abel, Cain moved even further east of Eden. Cain was afraid of the blood vengeance that would come to him for the fratricide.

You're jumping a head of yourself.
What I'm referring to is what happened on the 6th day. People are ignoring the fact that God had made Male and female before he made Adam. The scriptures say He rested on the 7th day. It was either the 7th day or thereafter He created Adam. Adam was created to tend the Garden of Eden. This is where he was to live.
Our scriptures are so chopped up by your scholars, translators that it does seem to confuse your people. But our people have all the scriptures that were deleted from your bible.

What the hell Bible you reading? KJV only is it. Genesis 1 is in chronological order and in man's earth time of 7 days. Genesis 2 is not in chronological order and is in Gods space time. Bible shows a day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as a day with the Lord. As far as God formed animals out of the ground for Adam to name? No contradiction with how he made them in Genesis 1. Formed is connected to sculpt. Sculpt connected to mold. They were images. ? Where you got God made man on 7 day in Genesis 2 : 7?
