- This video will take you through the steps you need to clean correctly your Appia Life Standard. So, let’s get started!
First of all, remove the portafilter and purge in order to have a clean water backflush. Now use a small brush to keep the group head area clean then purge again.
Replace the basket with a blind basket and apply some coffee machine cleaner on it. You can use powder, liquid or tablet cleaners. Engage the portafilter and start the cycle!
Press the Hot Water key for 3 seconds. The continuous buttons of the groups will start flashing. Remember: the cleaning cycle can be run independently in each group or in all groups simultaneously. To start the cleaning procedure, press the middle button. If the group are cleaned simultaneously, press the middle button in each group to start the procedure. If the groups are cleaned separately, it is possible to use the groups not engaged in washing operations for other functions.
At the end of the washing cycle, the continuous buttons will start flashing again and it will be possible to activate the rinse cycle. As long as the rinsing procedure is not carried out entirely, the group is blocked.

It's not clear how we can use the another group head while the other one is engaged in cleaning.
Can you please let me know how to restore the default settings.

MY COFFEE IS NOT CREAMY, IT EXTRACTS VERY QUICKLY AND IS WATERY HELPPP
That's probably because your coffee is ground too coarse and/or not packed enough for it to create resistance and therefore pressure in the mixing chamber. Try grinding your coffee finer until you find the perfect "crema".
the other comment + not every coffee beans will produce the crema you expect, if you wanna have a lot of crema try a blend with a higher robusta ratio, and it has to be fresh
