This track is very intentionally Lennon. Definitely based off the song Mother by John Lennon, which was influential on the name of the series.
This track always makes me think of this EDIT: -quote- I actually learned this was a sort of letter to the afterlife, so I thought I’d put it here.

I remember my heart absolutely breaking in two when I read this from Itoi after not much time passed. Having such an intimate view of their friendship is truly something to hold with care.

It was always about looking up to the grown-ups, though. I always wanted to rush to their position, to gain power. Yet, it's strange, these days, I avoid adult normaltudes, and seek calm wherever I can find it.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about MOTHER is that the series as a whole is about love where are those who understand it and those who don’t. Like how Giygas being an unfeeling monster that drove the inhabitants of Eagleland to do evil things or how Porky became the madman he was later on because his parents abused him and Ness repeatedly ignoring him when he wanted to be his friend. Porky was never shown love or respect by anyone which drove him to follow Giygas and later form the Pigmask Army.
But to contrast this there is those who understand love like how the Chosen 4 in Earthbound became great friends and were free from Giygas’s influence or how Ness loves his mother so much that if you don’t call her occasionally during the adventure he gets homesick. There was also the lyrics to the Eight Melodies from MOTHER 1 being about love. But best of all is how prominent the theme of love is in MOTHER 3 where the love between Lucas’s family kept them going till the very end.
Basically, what I’m trying to say is that we all need a little love in our lives and to show love to others.
Well, they really captured the Feel of the song that started it all wit this. Wow, this is really Beatle-y!

I just made my own lyrics, off-hand and freestyle, about my own upbringing. It's lost now. But it's good to know I did it. I could probably do it similarly again. Feels alright, man.
if this version of the song played at the end of Earthbound i think i wouldve been even more of an emotional wreck somehow. Like actually fantastic remaster.

Its awesome songs like this that bring out emotion when playing games. I simply love this song.
I just finished all 3 Mother games, starting with Mother 2 (a few years ago) and ending with Mother 1.
After this whole experience, this song brings back so many memories that I cried. This series is truely magical and has genuinely changed my life.
My favorite version of this song, but I'm a little disappointed at the lack of "I Miss You".

Although this version sounds more emotional, I like that in the final arrangement of the game they added the trumpets at the beginning of the song, as it represents very well how the photographer was also part of our trip.

Ah... this demo track. I can safely say that it is just as good as the original from EarthBound. Or MOTHER 2 if you prefer calling it by the Japanese name. That works too.

@@moke23 I mean... I do see where you are coming from; demo tracks are usually produced before the finalized versions of certain songs, after all.
@@Poyostar This was a "demo" in the sense it's a prototype. It's studio-quality with acoustic instruments, including a mellotron. Its quality far exceeds the audio capabilities of the SNES, so it was remade on a tracker.
It most likely precedes MOTHER2 by a decade.

@@Poyostar Yeah it's really interesting, MOTHER's development began on March 1987. And it almost never happened, Itoi wasn't really receptive to Miyamoto's ideas.
I feel like the MOTHER series would've been huge had they received proper localization, they're based on American culture after all.

@@gustavferreira627 Fooly cooly. Its a really good anime. I'd highly recommend it. Its only like 6 episodes too so you can easily watch it one setting. It has some really good music too by a band called the pillows which I also recommend.
