I don't understand why Alex was so drunk at the wedding, didn't you think that was weird? He could have had a nice evening with Jackie, but instead he spent it lying down.
What really stood out to me is that it was Kylie keeping an eye on him and taking care of him, instead of his gf. Jackie seemed totally oblivious to the fact that he was off to the side getting wasted. She never even went to check on him, until much later that night. It was a pretty interesting contrast to how attentive she was to Cole, when he was drunk and spiraling at the awards ceremony.

I’m thinking that maybe Alex hadn’t told Jackie yet that he’s leaving for the summer because of that program. Alex probably sensed a few times Cole being into Jackie and he hastily said I love you in hopes that she’ll say it back ensuring nothing would change when he gets back.
I am pretty sure I saw he told Jackie he was leaving for the summer - they discussed it was only for a few weeks - but that was before he went overboard and told her he loved her, despite their vibe not being anywhere near that intense. If I were Belly I would have grown up crushing on Conrad too because he was always there for her, Jere was too but that's why they are kindred spirits. Unfortunately, both Conrad and Jeremiah have issues to work out before getting into a serious relationship; both are dealing with their mom's sickness and death, Conrad is dealing with heartbreak, and Jeremiah has to deal with his jealousy. Both need to grow and so does Belly. After that growth, I would say that Jeremiah and Belly are best as the bestest of friends and she and Conrad would be more compatible because they would compliment each other more after that.
