it’s so sad that cheryl passed, if she did, cause I would’ve loved to meet her, and her daughter. especially knowing her mom was a gamer? that is crazy!
Bill was still okay. He did get a clue on day one, and on days two and three, he tried to get one but missed. (Day 2, he probably confused Wintertime and Snowman. Day 3, it could have been "Shopping," but he just rang in too early. And yes, I know there was no sound during that round on these copies, but the late Michael Tiller of the Game Show Temple Archives has these three episodes separately, but in better quality, and thus no sound loss, as does Spencer Denison. That's how I know.) Which brings me to something else, did you notice in round two of day one, Bill would applaud for Marci each time she got a clue, but when he got one, he didn't even bother to applaud for himself? That does show humbleness, modesty, and good sportsmanship, doesn't it?
Really awesome win! It seemed like Cheryl was nervous but really found a way to stay calm and cool to really deliver for the team. I think I also seen her on an episode of Wheel of Fortune later on. I wonder what happened with them and if they are living happily ever after. Congrats on the win!
Chuck Donegan, a game show fan who uploads episodes on Dailymotion, has Andrea & Michael Foster’s three days in his collection. I know because his trading page lists it as “Three consecutive episodes from 1986 featuring Andrea & Michael Foster as they become millionaires.” What I’m getting at is that when the time comes that he uploads them, it'll be interesting to see if they are combined into one video like these or if each day is just an individual video, which is actually more common from what I've seen.
I just realized something. Well, one of them I realized some time ago, but the other just now. Some time ago it occurred to me that Baton Rouge could have been one of the items for state capitals and it wouldn't have even been too many letters. Just now it occurred to me that the same thing is true with Carson City.
The great thing about the nine couples that won $1,000,000 is that even though the show was cancelled in 1987 and Lorimar-Telepictures doesn't exist anymore, Warner Bros. (the company that currently owns all Lorimar-Telepictures and Lorimar Television shows) continued issuing the winning couples their annual checks.
They kinda had to. It would have been bad press, and raised the ire of the feds if they didn't. The Reel to Reel Picture Show is a prime example in what not to do.
You know what's a little puzzling? (No pun intended.) On day two, Jim observed that Sandi got "Fight" with only one letter, but on day one, never pointed out that Cheryl got "Court" without any letters. Just an observation, that's all.
how i hate the oldies commercial breaks...but this game show really helps with my vocabulary..but one thing for sure Cheryl always reminds me of the word BISMARCK
@@cherylgilmore1102 Me neither. In fact, I'd see it every time I watched the intro to any Season 2 episode, showing the winning items from the previous season, with the exception of Andrea & Michael Foster winning with "Cycling." (They'd chosen Olympic Sports as their category.) I already knew that, but until recently, I never knew the name of the couple who won with "Cucumber." And I learned a lot of geography from watching WITWICS. RIP, by the way, Cheryl, I know you can't respond to my response, but I can say you were one of the top best players on this show!👍
I am not sure. I do know that when the episode was first aired, that happened. I think this post of the three games is a copy of the shows that I used to own.
I read somewhere they had to shoot the post-million win after the actual show for 2 reasons 1) Cheryl's family wasn't at the actual taping and 2,she nearly fainted from dehydration.
+toptenguy1 Not to mention she also has great in video games! Jr. Pac-Man always has been one of my favorite Pac-Man games. I'm torn between it and Ms. Pac-Man.
@@ThunderFist1978 I had to laugh at this post. During the divorce, I mentioned that perhaps we should divide the remaining payments based on who "did the work". Bill decided to agree to 50-50. And I bought that Jr. Pac Man machine and had it until about 5 years ago.
I noticed that, too. I think he must have had it confused with the amount that Marci & Rudy won on their first day, because he did tell them they had $1600 from the previous day.
Sadly BIll and Cheryl divorced a few years after this show aired. Cheryl was on Wheel in 1989 and was still married to Bill then. Sometime after that, they divorced. Cheryl was interviewed by someone and she said that in reality, she wasn't a truck driver, she would just tag along with her husband and help him drive. She also said that they were told that the star key, which represented punctuation, was NEVER the stinger. Cheryl also said she hasn't talked to Bill in a very long time.
@@cherylgilmore1102 I think I saw your Wheel episode. If I remember correctly, it was on Rolf Benirschke's first day as host of the daytime show. Did you have any idea who he was at the time? I'm guessing that mostly football fans would have been familiar with him.
Yes, I knew the star was never the stinger, and neither were the letters Q, X, or Z. I read about that on a fandom page talking about this show. (I understand about Q and X, but personally I don’t think Z would have been that bad a candidate, considering everything else that leaves, and not to mention by now, I have seen everything besides those four as the stinger at least once.)
Was James e cornete a game show player on the 1000000 million dollars chance of a lifetime and was it true that's he was banned from ever playing it for calling the host of the game show a dirty name
I was all about game shows as a kid, and this was one of my favorites. Seeing it again puts a smile on my face.
R.I.P., Jim Lange. So sad to hear of Mr. Lange's passing. We'll miss you, Jim!
R.I.P., Jim Lange...1932 - 2014.

I like the way Jim interacted with the little girl 😊

The VHS I used to have had the bonus round of their first day.

Did she have a sister Lisa who appeared on Sale Of The Century? Because they could be twins!

No I don't.
I take it your Dailymotion channel no longer exists. Where you had these same episodes, except that each one was a separate video.

I wonder what Bill's truck looked like.
