Pho-king funny.... I'll just walk myself out
I just wanted to say your positive attitude/outlook and approach are very uplifting. Glad I checked your stuff out after watching Vegas.
Only bro can go from the biggest yoker to reminding us that time is a constant and we must face each moment as such. Love u dawg
I will support the game for the devs who worked so passionately for us before they got let go, for the ones who still remain, and for the content creators and pros who go blindsided right when they were about to hope again. The executives can go kick dirt.
Lol you say "the executives can go kick dirt" but you don't get to choose where your money and support goes lmao. Shit going straight to the executives whether you like it or not
As always I really appreciate your perspective and sense of optimism, really nice to hear my own thougts in your words. I hope the future is kind to you Fineo! Sending hate from Scotland 😘
Fine… Okay… if that’s what you want, I WILL still support you

What’s next is you need to oil up fine!
Glad you are doing an A-Z, I miss Incon doing the same thing its such a good resource to learn gods for new players
I kind of agree with what Inters3ct said in his video... Trying to boycott the game would only hurt the remaining devs that managed to make Smite 2 the wonderful game it is right now.
Yeah, it’s a sad situation. At this point the community is essentially guilted into playing the game. I think boycotting should be on hold to see how it turns out. If the game goes completely downhill and is in terrible condition within a month then we should boycott this self inflicted wound.
then they need to find a new job.. thats not how you should think you cant give the upper morons anything
@@alexjv1370 boycotting is for borderlands now for me
Boycott pissrael
People should stop being so easily tricked by emotions. It's just a buisines, nothing else. If you like game, than play it, if not than don't.
A horrible shame to see so many talented, hard-working folks get laid off. I haven't played Smite for a few years now personally but hope Fine continues his personal success regardless of what occurs with Smite 2.
respect, really like how you've been going about this and hope somehow the game survives this .
Been with you this far brother. I’m sticking with ya through it all sir.
Ive watched Smite for years and finally smite 2 went free and got 3 buddies to try it out i hope it stands strong. Hope everyone lands on their feet!
There are better ways to protest than to stop playing, if we stop playing and do not support the game by buying cosmetics (Totally optional) who we are really going to hurt is not Chisam or the other higher ups, we are going to hurt the devs that love the game and put their soul into it... so I say we all relax, keep playing and make it clear to Hi-rez that we hate the decisions that were made, not the game and much less the devs.
there really isnt though. Nothing is going to change unless they lose money over this shit lol
As I said, if we do that kind of protest we will only hurt the game, we have to stand up and protest, obviously, but that is not the way...
Today we depend on FineOkay, Warchiwar, Weaken, Ferre, Dick and all the content creators in our community, they are our voice towards Hi-rez, our best chance.
If we try to lower the number of players and reduce profits, the only thing we will receive is an ultimatum on how the game closes.
I know it is not the best answer and it makes us feel helpless, but we must be smart about this, not emotional.
If you really want change then you must be willing to sacrifice even Smite 2 to get it. Maybe Hi-rez needs to end? It’s natural for companies with leaders that make shitty decisions to end.
DONT STOP PLAYING SMITE IN PROTEST!!!
I agree that the decision making from the higher ups is monumentally poor and the immediate thought to stop supporting Smite in protest to hurt them is a natural sentiment - I thought this way too, BUT THINK ABOUT IT:
The higher ups clearly don't care about our protests or our voice, they didn't last time there were layoffs and they won't this time and if the game fails then they'll take whatever money is left and run.
The real people we're hurting in this situation is the current Devs that are still working on the game and WE as a community owe it to them and the Devs we have lost to continue to appreciate the hard work and love they have put into the game. Otherwise, more devs will continue to be laid off until Smite is officially abandoned by the board.
And the best way for us to support the game is by playing it, being positive and being vocal - just like we have been, brilliantly.
The Devs, unlike the Hirez board, hear us and all the doom talk is only souring them and the community and it's not helpful.
If you truly appreciate the Devs (even the ones we've lost) then play the game and HAVE FUN. Please don't let their hard work, time and love go to waste.
Sorry for the novella but it's important
@CheetahNuggs I disagree. He's completely right and has an explanation as to why.

Thank you. I appreciate this video. Nothing more to say.
I really think you have the best mindset about everything thats been going on. Youre absolutley correct on boycotting the game is only going to continue the suffering for the people still left on the dev team. All of this is caused by probably only the 2 people at the top. And really keeping up with the community engagement on smite 2 is what might cause the only shining hope, which is another company with money to spend buying us out and committing money to the team and community. I mean god, I dont wanna get my hopes up but imagine if that does happen, a company buys out, rehires everyone that was laid off, gets esports back up and rolling (obviously even with money probably cant be right away) and just bets on our community. I mean I feel like it would be a safe bet/smart idea because its widely agreed that the game is really good, more players are playing the game then even the money grabbing tycoons expected and we showed up for and showed our continued interest in whatever esports we can get with even a small event like vegas. I feel like smite is just an incredible investment for a company with extra money right now.
it sucks so much to see this happen again because i was so impressed with titan talks, increased transparency, new game play features, and so on but i agree i love the game and i want to support the devs who are busting their buts on this game.
Am honestly advesing everyone to stick with the game for the sake of the remaining devs and everyone we love, its a good game right now, and i dont want it to die tbh
I’m here for the fun times
How can I say no to a mustache like this.

Why is the company under scrutiny for layoffs? Many companies do layoffs? Or is the problem with the reason for layoffs?
The reason & why they even had to happen. The timing as well
I will still support the game and content creator but... Im so fking sad for the game ...
I suggest you to join ICE unit and stream how you catching and deporting criminals.
All the remaining Smite Devs need to unionize like yesterday

I personally since hearing the news have had no energy to play smite 2. I actually started playing HOTS again and honestly having a Ok time so far.
Haven’t played for a few years. Why are people protesting?
You should collab with bryonato you guys are basically twins, he speedruns games and is dope
Have you tried Warframe? lol someone had to say it XD
I want the game to succeed. A lot of drama, but rightfully so. But, I want to play Smite 2 and have it turn into a full product. I put 2k hours in Smite 1 starting 2019. Hopefully, everything works out, I'd hate to look back and be wishing Smite 2 didn't fail. Its sad, life would go on obviously, its a video game but I just want things to work out. Maybe Hi-Rez being more critical with higher-ups would be a good start to putting the game in a better direction in all ways.
I like the game and love watching you play it. Im disappointed with the behind the scenes repurcussions of bad decision making, but i really look forward to your smite content each day.
Great response. The worst thing players can do is boycott the game. Way too many special individuals put their blood, sweat and tears into smite 2. Don't let their hard work go to waste.
Back to deadlock ?
Honestly if people like support the game even more now the people might get hired again but people should try to share the game out more so they might get more money and stuff

Don't, you don't know what could be out there..
I haven't played Smite in years, so many new gods, the rotations and roles seem to have changed so much. I was last really in the thick of it when Nemesis was released and Ah Puch etc. Yah, donkeys ago. So if you were doing a guide for 2 and how you should play your role and breakdown the new meta etc that'd be the way to go for me to get back in 👍
I'm glad to hear a big name finally say it, Smite 2 is still a great game, and punishing the devs still there and letting a game thats a 1 of 1 disappear is just idiotic and not what anyone rational really wants.
I’m super sad as a 1.5K hour Terra player. 😢
Boycotting the game will only hurt the people still working on the game.
If we had a way to get stew outta there then we should do that, but that aint happening anytime soon
I disagree that this is only about impact on the game. I'm not playing it anymore because this fully took the wind out of my sails and sours my interest in the game. I'm not gonna keep playing it, feeling weird the whole time "for the devs."
I appreciate that what's being said here isn't about that, but I do feel like that's the conversation in the community as a whole. Keep playing Alec, I'll keep watching.
But real talk? Me not playing isn't about punishing Stewart or Erez (misplaced as that would be) or the devs. It's about how I feel playing the game. The board took something I find fun and tainted it. To those of you who don't feel that way, more power to you. But don't be an ass to those of us who do.
As much as it sucks seeing faces we know be laid off, the quality of the game didnt change and suddenly become unfun. Its a little parasocial the way people are acting.
@@Bordapatrol I think he's trying to say that smite 2 doesn't really play or feel anything at all like smite 1 and that, plus the new layoffs of some of the most popular people at High-Rez, makes him want to not play anymore. Which I can fully get behind.
I bought founders pack too. I tried to play, but the game just is not good. I've played more smite 1 than smite 2 in the last 4 months.
@GunShark0 that a take for sure. Just feels like a snappier SMITE 1 to me. Smite 1 just has a bigger god pool and doesn't handle as well so it harder to play and get more of an advantage over new people. Where if ppl are mechanically skilled in other games I feel it transfers to smite 2 better
@@Bordapatrol except they changed how building items works. They changed relics. They removed the 5 classes. The game plays nothing like smite 1. It's just a cluster F free for all imo.
@@GunShark0 Don't speak for me, Smite 2 is fun.
next step is coaching me (im trash)
I’m really hoping that smite 2 succeeds, maybe it’s cope but if smite 2 really pops off maybe they will get to the position to grow the dev team again and maybe some of the people could get rehired
Maybe some deadlock content? One a week?
Will Deadlock come back?
I’ll be playing it for sure
@@DudeImFonzI was wondering about this, although your views were on the lower side I was starting to get into it
Deadlock always there
Let's be real. Smite 2 doesn't just need players. They need players who are pumping money into the game through the purchase of cosmetics.
Now I've spent a lot of hard-earned money on Smite down through the years, I've spent money now on Smite 2 with the ultimate founder's pack, to try support the game and get it up and running.
And apparently it's still not enough for the upper management. That's fine. But I have zero faith that Smite 2 is gonna last and is gonna succeed, because of the upper management's decision making, what is looking like the lack of a competitive scene, and because of the now skeleton crew of employees that are left working on it.
I don't feel comfortable investing any of that hard earned money into a game that I have no faith succeeding and lasting. So while I still might occasionally play Smite 2, I'm not spending another cent on it. And I understand that that might hurt the remaining employees, and I apologise about that. But if I invest money into cosmetics in Smite 2, and then Smite 2 shuts down it's servers. All of those cosmetics are gone, and I've essentially flushed my money down the drain and succeeded nothing but lining the pockets of the upper management. And I ain't rich enough to be flushing my money down the drain.
what happened? context please
FineOkay is going to prison over multi-million dollar money laundering.
still more than 70 people are working on this game and trying to save their job. Sad for those laidoff but some othes are still on the boat in need of our help and support. I like smite 2, i will still playing. Thanks for the content and your videos👍🤞
Okan Fine, ill stay
So instead of boycotting the game we should play it even more to make sure the devs keep their jobs? Yeah that definitely worked for the last 2 layoffs
If you're mad about Hi-Rez layoffs it doesn't really make sense to stop playing the game, as that will just lead to more people losing their jobs
Why is the Pringles guy showing up in my subscriptions??
In all fairness, I've played maybe ten games of Smite 2, even though I bought the founders pack in June or July, but I enjoy the community more than the games at this point. Whether it's FineO, DoubleJ, PBM, or Bobby, even Mythymoo again lol, I'm going to follow the creators wherever they may go. If it's dick jokes in Smite or poop jokes in hello kitty island adventure, it's the people I support.
Boycotting the game and not playing it is the one sure fire way to put the final nail in the coffin so I would advise against that one fellas...
Damn, classic smite fans thinking boycotting will get those ppl rehired 😂. They got laid off because of lack of money. Funny how mostly everyone was complaining about having to buy a god pack again. This is the outcome... They need money, if you want ppl to get rehired and the esports to come back. Then play the game and spend some money here and there...Hirez has done so much to get ppl to transition to smite 2, it sucks ppl got laid off but smite 1 was dieing, hard to compete with their engine... Failed games...
They should of worked on smite 2 years ago, but this toxic community probably scared them and made them hold off for fear of backlash
W outlook
You start touching your face when you hint at smite 2 not being around in a few months. How come?
I bought the founders edition for both me and a friend. I didn’t do that so they can fire all the people that helped make smite my most played game. They can love smite all they want but I think it’s a real shame that people are STILL working there. I would’ve walked out with the rest of my friends and co workers.
See you when you get around to Deadlock..
Not smite that's for sure 😂
I still like smite. It's not Hi-Rez's fault entirely. We all know who's the culprit. He already roached out.
#StuPid
Predecessor is still available to play along with smite2. Learn both teach both.
I see people claiming they're being guilted into playing the game. At the end of the day it's a video game. Do you enjoy playing it? Yes? Then play it and support it. All this is is a product to make money. I'm not sure why people are up in arms over this. It always sucks when people lose their job because of the higher ups bad decisions but I think a lot of people have crossed the streams when it comes what Smite is and the parasocial relationships they've developed with some of the former employees. Boycotting the game is actually kind of dumb and continuing to play it has nothing to do with guilt. If people really cared about corporate justice there are far more fights worth having then a F2P game...
Having said that I stopped playing Smite in 2022 to play Predecessor. Me and my three other buddies who had over 2500 hours each in Smite 1 are now playing Smite 2 and thoroughly enjoying ourselves.
They let Aggro go? Awh hell no. Uninstalled that game yesterday.
i just know, if smite 2 somehow does well for hi-rez in any capacity they'll rehire and then oh look they will begin working on another game that will flop like everything else they touch.
jesus christ since when did you grow facial hair😭
After all the hate and ignorance towards the development of the new game, it’s ironic that now that smite 2 is in a good spot… the shot that actually hurts the game comes from inside
What did i miss? What happened?
I am also curious
They fired 60+ employes. Company's dying.
All of this is good for Smite, though bad for HiRez. This is just the catalyst needed for someone who knows how to produce and develop games to buy Smite.
It's going to be Microsoft and then you'll be eating your words.
(Look at what they've done to Halo and Gears)
@ Still better than HiRez
Forget the politics man, if u like the game u like the game right, i mean its not veilguard c'mon guys
Hirez have definitely made stupid decisions, but honestly I don't think this is the worst thing to happen. Smite and paladins are still playable. Updates ceasing for paladins does suck, but look at CS2. CSGO was literally deleted from existence when CS2 dropped. This isn't the worst case scenario imo.
There's no reason for you to stop uploading smite 2 and we'll still watch your content even if it's not smite 2.
I just fell out of love with the game
Showed my friends the game things never felt the same playing even alone, not the games fault though

I've played Predecessor, even streamed & uploaded it. Fun game but not the same, Smite is just goated

Unfortunately the enjoyment I obtain from the game is directly affected by this. I can't enjoy having fun with it anymore because of Stew's dumbass. Maybe if he gets canned (Not likely at all obviously) or they sell Smite 2 to another company, maybe I can enjoy again.
I played Smite back in the summer of 2014 - I loved the game and kept coming back, when Smite 2 was announced I was ecstatic! But Smite 2 isn't ready, it's not in a playable state in not only my opinion, but two of my friends who I met playing Smite years ago. We all got back into it and encouraged each other to grind the Divine Legacy - then Smite 2 hit open beta and we knew it was going to be rough, but we tried. Played a couple of games each day and they ruined the game in our opinions. With Smite now decomposing, it's unlikely that any of us will be playing anymore. They took something fun, got trigger happy, and left us with the arguably better game falling apart and a game that is a mess at best. RIP Hi-Rez, RIP Smite.
Im done with smite 2 because hirez doesnt have smite 1 to fliattheir experiments anymore so smite 2 is on borrowed time.
As well as the despise i have for the strength/int system. Not fun building int sol and hitting for 110 autos. Or build strength then my abilities do jack shit.
Smite 1 didnt have a broken stat system. All the smite 2 youtube content is meaningless because its just busted build or item of the week.

I played Smite 2 when it came out in Alpha. Bought the $30 Founders edition and tried it once. They game was stuttering and I have a good PC. 4070Ti. I didn't come back after that. I'm sure it has improved, but I've gotten into other games. I played 5000+ hours of Smite 1 and Smite 2 doesn't seem different enough to really grind it out. The graphics are better but the map still has a very shitty look compared to modern games. It is absolutely insane that Stew deleted his Twitter account because he knew there would be backlash. When the shit hits the fan and times are rough, there needs to be more communication and reasoning, not less. Send out hopeful messages if they really believe in what they are doing moving forward instead of hiding. This is a clear sign they don't even believe in their game anymore. The studio is on life support.
