Serge Reding (first lifter) died either in Phillipines or back in home, Belgium (after marrying a Phillipines woman )from a heart attack.
Serge was first lifter in competition to Olympic Press 500 lbs beating Alexeev for that record but Alexeev in that competition regained it.

If memory serves me, I think Reding injured his wrist and that's why he bombed.
