Frumoasa doina, da... Desi sunt roman imi amintesc ca in vorbirea noastra veche din anii 1950-1970 se vorbea apropiat de vorbirea aromana. Sa traiti fratilor, ati rezistat miraculos. Eu sunt din Arges, Lacurile (fost Alimanesti), Romania.

E un cântec de jale care se cântă pentru morţi... adica un bocet. În România se cântă instrumental + voce, la aromâni e aproape exclusiv instrumental. Şi exclusiv cu instrumente de suflat...

It is clear that Vlahii/ Aromânii and Romanian people are brothers. Just notice the linguistic affinity, cultural, ethnological and
anthropological connections. Rememeber that we are in all Balkans and Carpathian Mountains, we preserved our connections and they are strong and healthy. ( Vlahii )/ Aromânii/ Istroromânii/ Meglenoromânii/ Românii
( Dacoromânii ) are the same people with very insignificant differences.
We are known for being a peaceful popoulation, strong genes, commited people, hard working, a high grade of spiritual consciousness, we like difficult terrains, and the Danube is our column not a border line.
Remember that we are in essence the shepherds of Europe. Methaphorically and not only. We breed sheep and make the best products all over in Europe, even in France, Switzerland, Poland and so on.

@@etsaknakis That's exactly the stupid nationalist way of thinking imposed by Greeks to the whole Aromanian community living there. ☺ I am an Aromanian myself and you're right, after the Slavic tribes arrival in the land between nowadays Danube and Northern Greece (Bulgaria basically), the Latinity north of Danube lost contact with that south of it. While the north part (nowadays Romania) has gradually been influenced by the Slavs, the south part (namely Southern Bulgaria - Northern Greece) continued being influenced by Greeks. The music style, a huge amount of vocabulary, the national clothing, all of them have been influenced by the Greek culture since the fall of the Roman Empire, but the linguistical essence and syntax remained typically Latin. Trust me, I speak them both (Ro and Aro) and there's no way these 2 languages can't be related to each other. The similarity is extremely high and there are features in these 2 that only Romance languages have. There's another theory that Aromanians are latinised Greeks, which is totally false as ever since the Roman conquest of Greece, it was the Greeks that influenced the Romans and not vice versa and that is because they were way more advanced than the Romans. So why would this little Greek population make an exception and become latinised? It makes no sense.

@@boantageorge6804 oh its extremely simpe, in the same manner Greek survived in Southern Albania. Extremely isolated populations in the mountains. You do understans that our language is Vulgar Latin right? Romania cant claim that. We expanded in the north and no other way around. The Serbs used to call the Vlachs as Greci for a reason. All vlachs from Greece that do DNA tests show more than 80% Greek DNA for a reason mate. Sorry to burst your romanian propaganda(it has already failed in 1920).

First off, the fact that Serbs called Vlachs as "greci" does not prove anything, since medieval Europe also called any Muslim state along the Mediterranean as "Turkish", since the Empire had been the biggest and best known entity in that area for quite some time. There is even an Icelandic tale named Tyrkjarániđ (Turkish Abduction), but it refers to Algerian Arabs that were under Ottoman protection. Or how the Swedes conquered a coast tribe where the Finns lived and thus named the whole land as Finland, tho not all Finns are "Finns". Demonyms are the last thing you should base your statement upon.
Second off, why do y'all have a thing for blood? Yes, it makes perfect sense that Aromanians in Greece have Greek blood after literal hundreds of years of intermixing. Anatolian Turks nowadays probably have less than 15% Central Asian blood, but that doesn't change their origin or history. So, again, how does blood prove origin?
Third off, what you call as Vulgar Latin was the term used throughout the Roman Empire for the low Latin varieties spoken by the peasantry and the common folk. It was not a unified language, thus the differences between the Latin languages nowadays. Both Daco-Romanian (nowadays' Standard Romanian) and Aromanian, as well as Megleno-Romanian and Istro-Romanian are just dialects that emerged from the old Eastern Romance spoken in Eastern and SE Europe. No one claims they are a single language or that they are the same people. If you place an Aromanian in Romania, he/she'll be able to understand at least half of it without speaking the language. If you place an Aromanian from anywhere else in Greece, he/she won't be able to understand the language apart from some words which indeed are of Greek origin.
Also, I have no idea what propaganda you speak of. The Kingdom of Romania asked the Ottoman sultan Abdül Hamid to grant protection to Aromanians living in the empire due to the fact that they were oppressed by Greeks since they wouldn't accept Hellenization and to fight for the "motherland" against the Turks. On the 23rd of May, the Ottoman sultan officially recognized the Aromanians as a separate ethnic and linguistic group from Greeks (Ullah Millet), and also granted them protection, but it didn't last long since the empire fell apart. 23rd of May is now recognized as the National Day of Aromanians everywhere in the world and it's celebrated in Romania, Albania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, but not in Greece (Google it), since they consider it a "day of treason of the motherland".
