    Just so you know, you tube randomly put one of your videos in my feed the other day and I have have found it so darn interesting that I am now subscribed.     Impressive equipment! I'm also a fan of timber frame construction so I'm impressed with the shanty, too! Lots of hard work and long hours. Good for folks to appreciate where food comes from!

    Wow that evaporator is a thing of beauty. You all should be proud of the building and operation your running now.lot of hrs of hard work by all. Still using by barrel stove and 24×24×7 pan. BUT I guess we all do syrup one way or another

    😮!!¡ I have never responded to anything on TH-cam Before but this is out of this world.. I am a small sugar maker in central Vermont and can't imagine changing out your evaporator in full season work out! Congrats to the Boxlers!

    Hey I see Nate from Bissell Maple stopped by! Wow the new steam evaporator is impressive, much smaller footprint & not worrying about scorching syrup. Are you running a hyper biix or is it necessary or able to be used with a steam unit? As always I’m impressed by your families hard work & wonderful rewards.

      ​@@MapleFarmer Haha roger that.. It's not too hard to make. Takes a bit to lock down a style and flavor beer. Might taste like swamp water at first. I think you could crank some out.. Toss on a camo label or a maple leaf.. Boxler Beer. Sounds good

    Love seeing your operation. I also received my 2quart jug of your Amber and love it. I am hocked on your videos. Good luck on new evaporator. What do you do with the the sap that is expelled from the RO SYSTEM? I am familiar with the process and know that there is an amount of liquid expelled after processing. Our system created 1 gallon of RO water to 3.5 gallons pumped into the system. Thank You.

    Wow that is one purty setup! I think I could build one that was heated with a high efficiency gasification woodburner…but then I wouldn’t have any trees to collect sap from🤔🤷‍♂️😆

    I echo all the impressive comments, surprised your inlet header is bare steel piping with all the stainless everywhere else. Overall this looks like 'dad' has the plan to continue long into the future with Maple syrup so I guess I need to get busy making some pancakes in Texas. Congrats on the new equipment being up and running.

    So what are the advantages to the new evaporator, quicker processing times? This is heated by propane? Love your video's, thanks for sharing the knowledge.

      Can cook more per hour and we don’t have to worry about burning the syrup! We wanted to get an electric powered one but the cost was unrealistic and would never pay for itself so we went with Diesel fuel

    I was wondering how long it takes to clean the evaporator after cooking everything down. Looks like there are a lot of nooks and crannies to clean up. Also, thanks for the tip on the "soaps" , you're right, they were yummy! I feel like an idiot, but they were yummy.😁

      Thank you for bringing it to my attention as I should include little cards or at least add a sticker to those to explain what they are! It usually takes an hour for clean up with 2-3 people!

      @@MapleFarmer Nah, I'm just a little slow. There are a lot of places here that do craft soaps and in my mind I was thinking syrup is sticky, so???? It's also been a long time since I've had to wash my mouth out with soap, and I didn't want to take the risk LOL. I'm sure everyone else figured it out. Have a wonderful day Ma-am!

    Since you have the two evaporators, would it cost effective to run Both at once? That would cut the number of hours needed at night

      The steam evaporator will allow us to produce 2-3x more per hour than the old one so it will save us a lot of time!

    Nikki, that is a Bad Ass set up , I’m assuming you folks use a lot of water with the reverse osmosis set up but you tell me .. So my other question who’s in charge of keeping it polish up again very nice set up !!👍🇺🇸

      all the water we currently use in our building comes from the evaporator and reverse osmosis machine! It takes us about an hour with 2-3 of us to clean everything up after every boil!
