Unbelievable!! At age ten he played raga Desh which I don't think any other flute player can or will ever excel. It is at moments like this that one wonders at phenomena which defy explanation. How could a 10 year old play that piece? It seemed to come straight from somewhere else. No amount of riyaz and teaching could have enabled a young child to play flute like that. This boy is divine. Please, will someone upload his other presentations for us to wonder at? Thanks.
I've seen many child artist who plays really well with systematic learning. But Akash seems to have mastered way much more than one can learn at this age. Ghamak, modulations, alankaars, taan are very well played. But quite notably, the phrase starting at 2:03 seconds, where tempo changes from slow to fast quite smoothly, is one thing which puts this performance at another level. He is indeed child prodigy ! Gift of god !
