Hearing her talk the way she is... hurts me. But I’m also happy that she’s doing well and pray she continues on that path.

I love that she is still doing some movies and I praise those directors working and having patience. She has a truly great acting talent!
It can be better in between flares. Recently she is opening up about her stem cell treatment.
@@seanspear6224 the prognosis for newly diagnosed is much better now. There are far more treatments and options. The wheelchair is further away, the funding is relatively good (compared to other neurological disorders), and overall improved prognosis. There is a lot to feel hopeful about.

My sister in law has been diagnosed with MS for almost 20 years. She struggles sometimes. But I admire her so much. Thankfully her MS is stable for the most part. My brother retired from the Air Force two years ago and he has been traveling with his wife and kids when they have time off. They go on cruises and just enjoy the time they are able to have together.
I have MS also staying positive about it have good moments and some bad don't let it get me down she is very positive I miss walking in travel try to do as much as I am able before I can not do anything at all it could be worse

I was diagnosed with ms in 2006 and I believe it changed me to a better person. Attitude wise. Knowing what the future may or may not hold for made me realize to slow down and enjoy everyday with my wife and daughter. Petty things that happen are not a big deal so just go on living your life.
I love her. She could have just as easily given up and felt bad for herself, but instead has decided to look on the bright side. Much respect and admiration 💜

I was diagnosed with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis 6 years ago. It's such a relief when you finally learn what's going on with your body after not knowing for so long. She's so strong and such an inspiration. Love you Selma!!

@Jz DisneyB, do you mind if I ask you how old you were when you were diagnosed with RA? And were you diagnosed with both the RA and the Lupas at the same time? I am waiting for an upcoming doctor's appt but I'm almost positive I'm going to find out I have RA. I have been turned upside amd inside out the past 4-6 months and after lots of research I really think I've been experiencing RA flare-ups. It runs on both my paternal and maternal sides of my family. I, myself, am 41 but I was just curious if I would fall in the earlier onset range or if 41 is pretty mature for a RA diagnosis. Anyways, you are a superstar and an inspiration!! Keep kicking ass ☺
@Harden Thicke MS is a very hard thing to diagnose, that's why so many people suffer for long time or condition worsens before being treated for it.

When she said she was suffering from flare ups and didn’t know what it was I totally feel you hunny I don’t have MS but that’s what happened with getting diagnosed with PCOS, thyroid and Lupus...went to many many doctors and finally got diagnosed with the lupus from an urgent care doctor he saved my life and changed it because now I have treatment! Stay strong Selma!

I love Selma! She is so positive, upbeat and funny (and drop dead gorgeous) despite her obstacles with MS .... I am so glad that she talks about her struggles with MS, as it makes her so relatable and it really helps others! I too have an issue (not MS) that makes me limp and “walk funny” as my 8 year old calls it. There isn’t a minute that goes by that I am not thinking about my situation & concentrating very hard when I take each step to not “walk funny”.... Selma’s sense of humor helps me so much with my own struggles! Thank you, Selma! You are loved! 💖🌸

Simply inspiring my teenage daughters best friend just got diagnosed and I was heart struck with compassion then educated myself and the self empowered Selma popped up and here I am I'm glad that people with diagnosises such as this can come out and educate others of ther trial and tribulations

After watching the documentary on Annette Funicello and her MS battle, the former Disney actress, and how her husband took care of her through her horrific deterioration was heartbreaking. Please pull up the documentary on TH-cam...I had no idea that Annette Funicello had endured severe physical deterioration, unrecognizable, unable to speak and her husband took such loving care of her.

It took 30 years for me to get a diagnosis for Lyme disease. I possibly was the first person in Rochester Minnesota or maybe southeast Minnesota to get Lyme disease between 1982 and 1984. I have several videos about Lyme disease here on TH-cam.

It was especially frustrating as I wanted to work hard and be a success. I kept getting fired from jobs, let go or they would just cut my hours until I left. Family members called me lazy and said I was faking my food intolerances. I got chewed out at a lot of Christmas dinners by one of three of my brothers from 1991 to 2006 while other family members just sat there as if nothing was happening. I told one of my brothers if it happened again I’ll get up to leave. I have a horribly critical negative judgmental family. I could write several more pages on it. I was going to have a manufacturing business, family and a hobby farm. Instead I have Lyme disease, live with my mom and deliver pizza. I am 52. I have no savings or investments. One brother I used to be close to thinks he is helping me by calling me up and berating me to clean up my life and tackle projects. I keep telling him I’m sick. He replies “with what”? I say Lyme disease, which he already knows. A year ago I told this same brother that I wish I had been accidentally switched in the hospital and went home with another family.
