Final Days in the Bahamas! | Sailing Wisdom: Episode 129

- It's time to leave Compass Cay, so we have a relaxing and enjoyable sail back to the Big Majors since the weather isn't quite right yet to return to Florida before the Crossing. We check out "Cruiser's Beach" and enjoy social time with some other people who have anchored nearby. One of them offers an exercise class in the mornings and though we are the only ones who show up, we are very glad we did! What a workout! We return to shore for a final trash dump and food run before squeezing into one last snorkeling session. Finally, we pull into cruisers beach and Maddie paints a sign to mark our time there. She also finally gets to paint the name of our beloved dinghy!!

I want to apologize and explain my comment on the matching bikini parts in a previous video. It was a matter of timing you could not know about. The night before I took a Rigging break and caught up on some of the weekly uploads from various channels. I observed that bikini parts seem to almost never match and concluded (in my male and isolated mynd) that the mixing of colors and patterns was the new fashion... Then, lo and behold, I saw this very traditional and familiar swim wear and I had to comment.
By all means - wear what you want ALWAYS - you feel good and comfortable and ignore this old man!

Hi you two, so good to see you! It seems that all is going well, you're becoming salty dogs, adjusting nicely to the cruising life. After the trials and tribulations of the ICW, cruising seems a walk in the park! It was nice to hear Frank talk about his dried out sausage, he seems a nice guy. It'd be nice to hear him tell his story so we can get to know him a little better. Will he cross the Atlantic with you? This was a nice video, laid back and easy going....steady on and smooth sailing maties!
Frank seemed very nice and fun in the beginning, but when we got out there in the ocean, he changed and things didn't work out. Don't want to spoil things, but we don't really show any negativity with him and he never did tell his story because he was a bit camera shy. I'll try to remember to include some background info about him in the description of the next video!

Omg. You couldn't keep tha oil bucket until you got to Florida and disposed it properly. Kinda bad for the environment
I know what you mean, but the oil it contained was “Organic Raw Linseed Oil” which I use to oil the wood on the boat. The cab was empty and rusting away to nothing.
I’m sure it withered away in a few months in that giant fire pit of doom.
I felt really bad about the amount of plastic that was burning in there.

Hey Herb, you wouldn't happen to have any family in PR that would like to be paid monthly like 150ish to be an emergency contact for my mother in a nursing home would you?? I will be working in various places and the home wants just someone to contact or look in on her in an emergency like a trip to the hospital. I don't know why, but it is their requirement.
I do have family on the island, I can ask if they are willing to do so. They are spread out all over the island, so let me know what town and I'll ask the closest relative.
San Juan in about the middle of town.
