- My friend Cindy and I met just after the Akron Goodwill Outlet "Bins" opened so we could see what was there before we checked out the Retail side! She already had some things ready. to hand off when I got there! I am always so amazed by what we find in the bins! Come see all the treasures we rescued! I share all the information about what I've picked, how much I've spent, and how much I think I will make on any piece I will sell either on eBay, in one of my booths, or in a live sale here on TH-cam!

I find things at estate sales and auctions, charity shops, and thrift stores, and even pluck treasures from Goodwill bins and street curbs as they are headed towards the landfill.

Buying rescued treasures helps the planet! If we could all stop buying new things from the big box stores and start treasuring the beautiful things that already exist, we could lessen our personal impact on the planet. That is what YoSoBoHo is all about!

Imagine my surprise when the second video of yours that I watched was filmed right down the street from The Village Discount Outlet I was shopping at in Akron two days before!!! Happy to have found a fellow Ohioan thrifter; you do a great job on your videos and of course it’s always a delight to see what you find! P.S. Nateesha’s surprise giant favorite things at the end made me laugh out loud 😂
Hi neighbor!!! Funny that it took a Canadian to lead you to me! 😂 I love Nateesha! I jokingly say that we are twins. We were born in the same year and were both Libras… and we love the same stuff… so it seems reasonable. 😂
We used to shop at the “VDO” all the time, but I did not like the changes they made 3 or so years ago and I have not returned. You’ll have to let me know if it’s gotten better, maybe I’ll give it another shot!

The bins in Seattle where I used to live were totally hodgepodge piles and really crazy masses of people! The nearby bins now in Sarasota are disorganized as well. So, when I saw your previous bin videos, I was amazed at how nicely things were organized.
We were so spoiled, Nancy! But it sounds like we still are! They are still reasonably organized, pretty quiet and people are polite. I won’t complain. 😊

I adore that terra cotta planter with the bunny adoring the carrots under the dirt... so sweet... and I also really liked the swan planter... I think swans are part of the bird family that mates for life, right? That's such a sweet piece. Thank you for sharing the videos that were part of your live. Hi Amy! I am watching and Rog is listening. He is not into vintage but since we met you , he loves to listen. Does the pitcher with a crack hold water? I think it was a Haegar. Anyway, I like it so I could be interested. Doesn’t have to hold water as most of my pitcher collection haven’t held anything except dried flowers or fresh flowers in a glass since they joined my household. Cindi is a great shopper!

I’m planning on driving to check out the Goodwill bins in Akron soon. Is there a particular day that is better to shop there?
Yay! I hope you find some treasures! I don't think there is a best day, but I would recommend going early, 8 am, when they open (it's quieter) or be there when they do a bin change out. (I'm not sure about the schedule, but I think it happens every 1.5 hours.) That's when you'll see fresh things! =) Good luck!!
What's a BOLO?
Something you should “Be On the Look Out” for. Especially if you are a reseller, because they sell for good money or have good sell-thru rates. :) I usually add that definition to my videos when I use it, so thank you for the reminder… I know I use it in Thursday, so I’ll be sure to add it. 🤗
