Gyeon Quartz, you advise to first apply the Iron Remover before you wash your vehicle. Do you first rinse your vehicle, then apply the Iron Remover, or apply the Iron Remover to a dry vehicle?
Love the content, question, can i use this product lets say once a week?? will it damage my ceramic coated car? Since I'm driving daily and experience some dirt especially when raining catching on the side of the car often. thanks!
Have been confused about this. Can you (or should you) use Gyeon iron before your wash or it doesn't matter. If after your wash, can you use Wet Coat after rinsing off Gyeon Iron?
It all depends but the use of Q²M Iron is not needed every single wash. It is though very important to do it once every 2-3 months to remove iron contaminations. Using the product before your wash on a dry surface makes it’s less diluted, so more powerful. Use Q²M RestartWash as you shampoo and after that you can rinse and use Q²M Wetcoat. Regards, Y.
can this be done on a non coated car? i wash my car with bathe essence and followed up by Wetcoat for hydrophobicity. i wash my car every weekend with bathe essence or when the car is filthy. i apply wetcoat 1x a month depending on the durability. is my type of washing ideal or too much? want to hear what ub guys have to say. Thanks Love the videos very informative
You can but it’s not ideal. After using Iron wash the car first and I suggest to dry the lower parts (where tar desposits accumulate) and then spray Gyeon Tar, let it sit and take a fresh microfibre or Gyeon Silkmitt to remove the leftovers from Tar because with rinsing alone you will not be able to remove them, a contact will be needed in most cases. That’s why a wash after Iron is recommended because you don’t want to drag a lot of dirt around on the lower parts of your car. Hope this makes sense. Regards, Y.
Loving these video's, Is this way of cleaning safe for cars with matte paint? Now i'm using Gyeon foam/detailers for matte paint. Not the iron and tar ones.
You can/need to use IRON and TAR on Matte paint as well to properly decontaminate. Never let TAR dwell to long, better two rounds with a wipe off and proper rinse. Good luck. Regards, Y.
@Yorkiepoocharlie I am not asking about PPF but yes I am aware that any tar remover can impact PPF. Was curious about Skin more so than anything to not degrade it as it is a great product over Mohs.
All depends on you expectations. It’s ok but I would always go for at least a one stage polish before applying any type of coating to a car. Regards, Y.
As I said, it depends YOUR expectations. Being a brand new car is in most cases not a valuable argument when it comes to being scratch or defect free but that’s up for you to decide. The product will work in both cases. Regards, Y.
What do you think of spraying tar remover. (Applies to iron remover too) then cover them with ph neutral snow foam? So it can dweel longer and maybe it the iron / tar remover can be more effective?
I have Mohs + and top with CURE. Does Iron remove the CURE topcoat (or Wetcoat) so you can start fresh with the Mohs coating again? No need to use decomtamination shampoo?
Hi, I don’t really understand the question but will try to answer in the best possible way. Iron will not remove CURE and for sure it will not remove your MOHS+. To restart a coating application you will need to polish the coating off before you can reapply another one. GYEON RESTART wash will be a great shampoo for the maintenance of any ceramic coating. It will be available in the beginning of 2021. Regards, Y.
@@GYEON_official thanks, your answer is what I was looking for. I wanted to make sure Iron didn’t remove any top coat like Cure. I assume RESTART will take off Cure so you can start over with a new top coat?
Can I use iron to decontaminate my car with PPF applied on the lower part of the side of the car? Could iron affect the PPF? My car is also all protected with Gyeon CanCoat. Thanks
I'd imagine if you used these chemicals on a regular basis (ie every wash) it would eventually degrade the coating but used a couple of times a year where needed will be fine and as the video mentions, restore the hydrophobic properties of the coating. Personally, I would always apply a top up of a SIO2 based sealant after a decon wash, as the iron remover and tar remover may degrade those products.
It will not damage the coating in any way! Do this every 2 to 3 months and your car/coating will thank you. 😉. Just be carefull with any Tar remover, don’t let it dwell for too long and rinse really well. Do a shampoo or Prep pass after it to be sure all residues have been removed. Regards, Y.
I don’t use it as a standard decontamination tool, in some cases it can come in handy but it also has it’s limits in what it can do without harming a coating. All depends on what you want to achieve within your available time. Regards, Y.
It all depends. When claying a car you will cause marring and make light scratches. If polishing afterwards is your plan, claying is a must for a proper start of your polishing and coating process. For maintance on a coated car I would try to avoid claying as much as possible. Regards, Y.
Prep is not used for decontamination. It’s a safe and effective degreaser that’s used to lift and remove polishing oils on all types of paint. Regards, Y.
If it needs claying it will depend on your or your customers expectations, for me claying means inducing scratches, if you want these out, then polishing comes into play. Regards, Y.
@@GYEON_officialhow come a coated car feels gritty and has contaminants after iron and tar removal after only 6 months? So a 3 year coating have to live with embedded contaminants after 6 month? Do you have a maintenance polish how would you clay a coating if it’s driven a lot and not smooth
Embedded contamination can appear as soon as the first hour being exposed to the elements. It is all about the environment the vehicle is being exposed, parked and daily used. If your car is being sat under trees everyday, you’ll have contamination.
Gyeon Tar is like 40% citrus oil so it is also an amazing degreaser for panels with no tar
I just bought Gyeon's iron remover. Once the weather improves, I will de-con a few cars. Thanks for a great video.
More video’s in the making. Thanks for watching.

SilkMitt can be used once ( after using both sides) and it needs to be washed. How to wash the silk mitt to use it again on the different panel?
at the end of decon process, i'd do another quick foam and/or rinse, plus a quick spray with Wetcoat, and final rinse and dry. 🚗👍
That's an ideal wash/decon/protect wash routine!
Gyeon Quartz, you advise to first apply the Iron Remover before you wash your vehicle. Do you first rinse your vehicle, then apply the Iron Remover, or apply the Iron Remover to a dry vehicle?
Spray Q²M Iron on a dry and cold vehicle - rinse heavily - wash the vehicle - rinse heavily - spray Q²M Tar - rinse heavily.

Can I use on dry car gyeon iron + gyeon snow foam then rinse wash car rinse and use gyeon tar?
I don’t have access to a water hose or running water. Can the iron remover be rinsed with a manual pump sprayer?
It can be done - however for maximum efficiency we would advise you to use pressurised water source.

Does tar affect the performance of Skin from the Syncro kit
Only positively - make sure to not let it to dry on the surface - 1 to 2 minutes dwelling time is enough.
