- Hello everybody. Welcome back to another video of "Foreigners Try" series. The 'foreigners' in this context refers to an individual who is from a country outside Bangladesh. In this video, I invited my friends Daud Kim, Sali, Juwon, Ilayda, Brian, and Michael to try two of the most popular Bangladeshi street foods (chotpoti and fuchka). It was also two of the most highly requested street foods you guys suggested in the comments among the many other foods to try. Chotpoti is a famous Bangladeshi street snack that originated in the Indian subcontinent. It translates to 'spicy' in Hindi. As the name suggests, the dish is spicy with a tangy kick of tamarind. The dish is made up of potatoes, chickpeas, diced chilies and onions, boiled eggs, tamarind chutney, coriander, cumin, along with many other extra ingredients. Fuchka, just like chotpoti, is also a dish that originated from the Indian subcontinent. It is made of mashed potatoes, tamarind water or chutney, chili powder, onion, lentils, and chickpeas, which are all enclosed in a fried lentil shell.

apu fuchka & chotpoti isn't unhealthy that much...when you make them in your house it's pretty much healthy.but what we found in streets, that's unhealthy.& adding tomatoes isn't weird...we can add different kind of ingredients in a foods to taste better or we can add different ingredients to make a new recipe, you know what the food bloggers does.
I think it's healthy when it's homemade. Also I've seen in few places where they used Tomatoes with Cucumber salad but it's very rare tho.
