- FROM Wikipedia: Miss Global is an international beauty pageant established in 2013. The Miss Global pageant is one of the international pageants that accept single mothers. As a result, it is the only pageant with the widest age range from 18 to 35 years old after Miss Universe
MISS GLOBAL 2023.
Full performance of Miss Haylani Kuruppu, the representative of Samoa.
Miss Samoa was crowned as 1st Runner-up during the Miss Global 2023 competition.
Pearl Hung of the Philippines was crowned as 3rd Runner-Up.
Miss Puerto Rico was crowned as the Miss Global 2023.
The final competition and coronation were held on January 18, 2024.

According to my readings, Haylani Kuruppu of Samoa made history as the 1st Runner Up in Miss Global 2023.
Additionally, Haylani is not only a social worker and fitness trainer but also has aspirations to represent Samoa in basketball. She is currently studying physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University.
She serves as an inspiration to the small island of Samoa. 😊
And also to the upcoming contestants in the world of pageantry.
To all the haters of this beautiful talented young lady! She is the first representative from Samoa ever. And won 1st runner up isn’t that amazing? Samoa for those that don’t know and maybe bad at geography, is located in the South Pacific. Given our status as a LDC, Lani not only represented Samoa but the whole pacific as well! Some solid guts yo! These competitions belong and had always been dominated by big countries! This is why this young lady deserve all the applause 👏🏾 because this is not only rare for our pacific people to achieve but especially for our very small island! Now for those still hating on her cry me a freaking river or eat a banana!

There's no hatred here in Samoa..we all so proud of our beautiful Miss Global Haylani..she's a queen in our hearts and a crown Miss Global in our eyes..I think other Pacific Islands may be haters you know coz they can't achieve anything at international level but none of us Samoans care...Lani showcasing her Samoan culture with pride that every Samoan woman can achieve anything in life.. period!!!

I haven't had any interest in Miss Samoa pageants since the 1990's. Every year after that, I've found them quite boring UNTIL NOW! Haylani, you are the first Miss Samoa I've ever gotten behind and cheered on. You exude beauty, intelligence, kindness, smarts and love - love for people, the planet/world we live in, and pacific culture. Although you didn't win Miss GO2023... You are and will forever be the best Miss Samoa EVER! I don't forsee anyone from the pacific reaching this far in a pageantry comp in my lifetime ever again or anytime soon, which makes you VERY unique. Thank you for the hard work you and your team have put in to get this far and for putting Samoa and the culture on the map in a much more bigger scale outside of the usual sports / wrestling that most people around the world know Samoans from 😂😂

I’ve said it all along, Miss Samoa got the sympathy vote. She couldn’t even win in the Miss Pacific Islands 2023 against Miss PNG, American Samoa, Solomon Islands and Nauru. Miss Samoa’s pageant performance repertoire hasn’t advanced since this regional competition and yet she placed 1st runner up against better competitors and a relatively more difficult pageant in Miss Global. “ I fearlessly believe” her Miss Global placing is a huge joke because if something like this is so beautiful, how come I cannot feel it? I’m seriously not “feeling” it. Faafetai lava. 😅
All the judges of the Miss Global pageant have made their decision n that's matters the most. Miss Samoa, Miss New Zealand and Miss Australia all represented the Pacific region in this whole world event MISS GLOBAL PAGEANT.
