Additionally, Haylani is not only a social worker and fitness trainer but also has aspirations to represent Samoa in basketball. She is currently studying physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University. Haylani, you are the first Miss Samoa I've ever gotten behind and cheered on. You exude beauty, intelligence, kindness, smarts and love - love for people, the planet/world we live in, and pacific culture. Although you didn't win Miss GO2023... You are and will forever be the best Miss Samoa EVER! I don't forsee anyone from the pacific reaching this far in a pageantry comp in my lifetime ever again or anytime soon, which makes you VERY unique. I’ve said it all along, Miss Samoa got the sympathy vote. She couldn’t even win in the Miss Pacific Islands 2023 against Miss PNG, American Samoa, Solomon Islands and Nauru. Miss Samoa’s pageant performance repertoire hasn’t advanced since this regional competition and yet she placed 1st runner up against better competitors and a relatively more difficult pageant in Miss Global. “ I fearlessly believe” her Miss Global placing is a huge joke because if something like this is so beautiful, how come I cannot feel it? I’m seriously not “feeling” it. Faafetai lava. 😅
