Makes you wonder what other secrets the ancients left behind, doesn't it?
So you want honesty, here it goes. BRILLIANT. I absolutely loved the crazy mix of genre. I especially like the made by Caldwell inscription. Your use of bonding rituals and exposing emotional connections reminds me of what a couple married for 50+ Years enjoy. Breathtaking.
I've been binge watching these stories across multiple channels for a week now, and I find them deeply fascinating. Very, VERY good stories. For some, I must say, it might be off putting to see the sexy thumbnail and the provocative title as just a cheap attempt at smut. However, great science fiction always had these elements. My mother (rest in peace) loved sci-fi, and had many books from her adolescence still. I think she called them dime store books, or something. They always had a woman provocatively dressed (or alien female) being saved by the story's protagonist. So, what you're doing is true to the first sci-fi. I love the stories. Most of the time, I'm all teared up and wishing it was real. The stories are just long enough to tell a great story, but short enough to keep rapt attention. Just brilliant. Just like a dime store book from the 50s. Thanks so much. Somewhere, out there, my mom (who always joked she was part alien) is pleased I'm enjoying this so thoroughly. Keep it up, please. I'll keep watching!
Loved the "House of Caldwell" reference and that love has to be real or you both die in a horrible death from pure energy...lol. Great story as always.
Wow, that was an incredibly awesome tale especially the part where the artifact first seemed to be self destructing, but instead evolved, only to be assimilated into the engineer. Making their sinked up moves Superior. Great story. And the AI appeared to carry out It's task flawlessly. I did leave the room a couple of times so I might've missed a mistake or two. But the whole thing sounded fantastic. I think it deserves at least a part 2, maybe even part 3 or 4.
Calculation in technical thinking belongs in the life of corporations and CEOs. When it comes to life as a everyday person, the best thing for a honest good life is deep feelings and instincts for going through challenges and risk with people in any type of a relationship. It's always best to have a partner with you because pairs make things better in their own way through hard times, good times and especially the funny banter times. Anyway, I really appreciate the story. It sounds like it could be a new series. I really enjoyed the Coldwell reference. 😘😍🥰🤩😎👍🏾💯
Mr. Sci, good job with this one. It felt more natural than other entries for sure and leaves the story open for future entries. I see you laying building blocks for your universe that allows for revisites, further exploration and collaboration. I could see Avengers meets Guardians of the Galaxy material in your stories. The pacing was better in this one, adequate trials, though I would like to see more conflict with the Hunters before the two had the chance to perform the trials. Your additional explanation in your pinned comment also helps greatly, an appendix of sorts to outline elements of your story. Good job.
Glad to see you're continuing the Caldwell saga. I could've a bit more elaborating in some areas, but I'm pulling 12hr shift at a HeavyDuty Bodyshop here in my home town in Central North Carolina. So my attention is decided. I prefer to call it, "Strategic Time Management"! Anyways, sounds like you maybe skipped a few hundred years between chapters. I guess you have plenty of places to go from here.
Hmmm, well, the conversion of Hugo from calculator to emoting was very interesting to one of my particular neurodivergence. Overcoming fear would have been no problem, but some divine crystal intervention would have been necessary for the bonding since I am not capable of pair-bonding at all. My nerve endings do not bond with oxytocin making a bonding purely choice-driven, and the best I have been able to achieve with empathy is cognitive empathy which associates body language and behavior patterns with the labels for various feelings and a caring for environments which support sapient life forms. It is not difficult to imagine myself in the denouement, bonded permanently and making mischief in the rigid power structures where people who have stood on the shoulders of giants reorganize knowledge to the point that innovators tend to stand on each others feet, but your story had one positive value for me. You reminded me that psychopaths, who live in the moment, need to look forward to endings of real value to them. Most neurodivergents are not inherently antisocial, but for my particular mutation, those who do not engage in thorough self-discovery, development of a personal code of conduct, and cognitive empathy are at significant risk of antisocial behavior. It takes a lot of self-directed learning to realize that we are complementary to neurotypicals in the progress of sapience.
That was an excellent story but it could have run longer, maybe a part two (fingers crossed here). As to the pacing it worked perfectly for me! On a side note your AI images are extremely well done and if their not AI can I get her telephone number please. Thank you for the entertainment
Enjoy the story was listening to your epilogue and something that was said in the story I heard the name Coldwell I take it there is a tie in with the Coldwell stories. It would be interesting to see some of the time shifting coldwells show up in these stories. But yeah I did enjoy the story I've recently within the last couple of months gotten into these stories like this and yours is probably the one I listen to the most. Keep up the great work
Excellent story. Should definitely get into carrying some of the stories forward. A little suggestion, maybe throttle back just a bit on the arrogant/sarcastic humor. Having lived it, too much is usually short lived and a mask for extreme insecurity. Too much drives potential connections away, not enough limits connections

For those curious about the cultivation system in this universe:
CULTIVATION STAGES:
First Stage (Awakening)
Basic physical enhancements
Limited power usage
Safer but restricted
Example: Hugo's initial Craftsman's Band
Second Stage (Resonance)
Energy manipulation
Reality perception
Higher risks/rewards
Requires emotional stability
Can see energy flows
Third Stage (Transcendence)
Reality alteration
Species transformation
Ancient knowledge access
Permanent changes
Extremely rare and dangerous
SPECIAL NOTE: The Harmony Crystal represents a lost path of cultivation - one based on partnership rather than individual power. Makes you wonder what other secrets the ancients left behind, doesn't it?

Putting in a line of Caldwell technology in there was a nice fit
Yep the story definitely needs a part two with Hugo and Arya finding more artifacts together and especially since house Caldwell was mentioned.😊
Keep them coming !!
Another well done!!! Captivating and not rushed. Even the reference to the house of Caldwell. And the “life tax!” That is where we are heading 😂😂😐
Your storytelling is spot on, no changes needed this was a great story! Very well balanced! Bravo my friend!
Yet another great combo - Thanks!

Part of Caldwell Saga?!!!
I think it's just a part of its own thing and universe.
@@paytonturner1421+ you know that reminds me of a phrase I grew up hearing.
" If you can't beat them, then join them
Loved it the mix was perfect 👌

Saw a reference to "house Caldwell", but only a reference. Great story, keep them coming..
Needs a Part 2. 😎
