I’m going to be super honest. The best way to have a successful natural birth is to be prepared. It is highly recommended that you focus on taking a childbirth education course that primarily focuses on natural birth. A lot of women admirably want to have a natural birth to reduce potential interventions and/or pain meds, but the truth is most women are seriously unprepared for what all a natural, vaginal delivery entails. Mama Natural has an incredible online course that prepares you. I think it’s just as important for you and your partner to also educate yourself on the potential possibilities of c-section and other medical interventions becoming necessity incase of Labor not progressing or if you or baby run into any issues. We pray and believe for a healthy, normal delivery, but sometimes things don’t go as they should and if you are prepared for this as well, it won’t be as traumatic of an experience. There are always pros and cons to each situation. That would be my advice from My experience working with women. My husband and I are due to meet our little one towards the end of March and have been having extensive conversations. Your labor and birth experience are truly important and both of you guys being educated enough to make informed decisions can help make you feel not only more prepared, but you will feel that you have that support from your partner and that you are able to focus more on the task at hand: Momma being healthy and baby being healthy. Don’t stress and try to reduce your amount of fear. Educate yourself and look into natural pain management techniques and positioning that can be tools for you guys to utilize. You will do fine, but always be cautious and wary of other people’s birth experiences. These can negatively impact your sense of confidence in being able to have the birth you desire. Praying for a safe, rest of your pregnancy as well as a healthy delivery. Hope that was helpful (: there’s so many other great recommendations out there as well.

Aw, thanks so much for your advice. It is really helpful! So right! It is good to be informed on all options, just in case. We'll see what happens in the end.😊

@@travisandtorie what is most important is that the days leading up to the birth is to be relaxed. And let everything come naturally. The more stressed you are the more painful the birth will be. Being relaxed reduces the production of adrenalin and helps produces more oxcytocin and will help to uterus contract.
To reduce the pain during labor make sure your midwife allows you to choose your birth position. Ideally on all fours or in squatting positon allows for the help of gravity and you wont have much pushing to do. With the natural contraction of the uterus and gravity the baby will come out quickly with minimal effort on your end. Being in the lying position is very painful so do all you can to avoid it. The only reason why women are made to lie on their backs like that is because it was easier for male doctors to have access to your vagina. And that's it! There is no other valid reason to why you should be on your back like that.
Another thing you must know is that it is nature that decides when the baby will come
If you want more pain free have you considered hynobirth? The warm water is truly magical
Im a soon to be midwife and this field is my passion!!

When my daughter was born, my ex was like putting off an epidural until it was absolutely necessary as she wanted to be aware of what child birth was all about. When it became time to have the epidural, they were like "Too late! The baby is coming! Time to push!!!!" Yeah, the whole lamaz thing with the breathing helped, but there comes a time to where the episiotomy happens, and there is a shot to numb, but they are cutting a sensitive area!!! They will stitch it back up and place in the "husbands" stitch, but it is amazing, crazy, and heart-stopping event. My ex worked hard to get that baby out, and afterwards birthing the placenta, laid back in the bed, totally spent. Eyes had blood vessels that ruptured from the pushing. Sighed, and said, "Wow. that really wasn't that bad!" I then asked if she could do another weeks later reminding her of what she said, she was like H to the Hell No!
There are things you see you cannot unsee, but when you see your baby girl arrive in the world for the first time, take that first breath, and the various Doctors do their testing and clean her up, and wrap her up and put her into the dad's arms? (I used to read to my wife's stomach throughout the entire pregnancy) My daughter was so mad and so fussy and not liking the lights, the cold, the "I am out of my floaty environment", but once I spoke, she stopped and turned her head up to me. Smiled, and then handed her to her mom and she was at peace immediately, she knew she was home. Just thought I would share.... That daughter is 31 now and I still call her Boo Boo, because she was but love her with all I am.

Torie and Travis -- you will definitely know when "Wynter" is ready to arrive -- because your tummy will drop lower. Torie, You are currently in the most "uncomfortable" time in your pregnancy. You will be "parents" soon. Hang in There.
Note: Cut Travis a bit of slack. He's going to be an amazing dad.
Note: The pain is "considerable" -- unless you have a very short labor. Thing is -- we just never know. Sooooo, I say GET THAT SHOT.

Oh! You are getting alot of good child birth information. I forgot to mention. My husband and I took a Natural Childbirth Class. So we knew what to expect. But we were prepared to take pain medication if I needed it just couldn't take the pain. Just before I was to take pain medicine, she was just about out. I was good. 👍 She had alot of hair and was big. They had to cut me down there alittle so I wouldn't tear.

When you go natural you must focus on your breathing and always believe that you got this. It's really a mind over matter and relaxing your muscles as much as possible and the counting down to 10 centimeters of it being over before you know it. I had 4 natural and it's all about dealing with the labor pain. Remember everybody is different and labor may be light.

I had a cesarean when I gave birth. He was given to me before being cleaned up. They wanted to make sure his temperature was normal before bathing him. I wanted to go natural after a lot of conversations with my doctor, but during delivery my son went into distress so the doctors had to act quick. He was fine thank God. Now six years old and keeping me on my toes. Congratulations on the new journey you will be taking and know you are in good hands. Thanks for the videos and the updates.

I had natural birth with both of my pregnancies! I told my husband, under no circumstances was he to tell the doctor to give me a C- section! I didn't want to be cut on, because I knew it would be a longer recovery for me. My husband at both times was with an airline, traveling alot & and I would be home on my on for the most part. I also heard from friends (who had an epidural) had back problems later! I was in labor 10 -14 hrs probably with both, but I never did any screaming/yelling because I was so focused on my breathing , it really helped! Everyone will have a different experience, & the most important thing is to do what is safe for you and your baby! Happy Wednesday! Happy Holidays!🤗

This is so exciting! I went natural for both of my boys, no meds. I have a high threshold for pain so that is another story. The woman next to me was hollering! So it got me scared and I had to ask my midwife if that is how it is going to be. My midwife was like, girl, you are wayyyy further than her, you good 🤣. I say that to say, everyone's experience is different, so don't think it will be the same for you. But I went natural because I really didn't think it was necessary. The pangs felt like magnified period cramps...to me lol. My 1st was 7lbs 8 oz and gave me a small tear but my 2nd was 9lbs! I swear he tore me about 1/2 an inch from my butt hole🤣🤣🤣 But nothing compares to holding them on your chest as soon as they pop out. I could only cry and shout Thank You Jesus each time. I wish you guys the best on this exciting journey! Remind yourself that each labour pang is bringing you closer to your little one's entry into the world.

Whenever you guys have a chance I think you should react to your first video which was how you guys met. I just came across it after watching this video ( I am an OG.) And I just couldn’t help but think how you guys have come so far from dating, to marriage, to an entire BABY!
Anyways if you guys do, shout me out!

It is confirmed by doctors that’s giving birth in a squatting position takes some of the pain away and is a little easier

      @reginechanelle 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Why don't they hav special squatting chairs in the hospital if it's less painful 🙄

28 years ago I had natural child birth in a hospital 🏥 with a mid-wife, reason being all the other available doctors 🥼 were busy helping other mothers deliver... It was busy March of 1992 ( lol) they said she was state/hospital certified and that was good enough for me I didn’t wanna wait for my doctor 👩‍⚕️ my daughter was coming I was only in labor for 6 hours... She gave me a high fever after birth 🤒 but that was the only problem I incurred... Good luck to you guys can’t wait to see Winter Spring 🤱🏽

I had both kids naturally. I watched a lot of videos before giving birth and that epidural needle always stuck with me. I was scared of that needle and decided that I would rather go through the pain than have an epidural.

Torie! What let me know I was going into labor was the "Mucus Plug" glossy and clear. Goggle it. Also, my Va Jay Jay was opening and closing. I thought that was weird. But it's not weird. It was a clear sign I was about to go into labor. Yeah!!

I’m so excited for you all and the soon to come new addition, bundle of joy to the family. Winter Spring is such a beautiful name. I had 3 sons, all natural birth. My labor was short 3-4 hours no more than 3-4 pushes with all 3. Some of my gf’s had epidurals and to this day, 30 years later, they are having back pains. I just didn’t want anything injected in my spine and they say that you can’t move when they’re doing it. I heard of complicated labor where as the pain was unbearable able and at that point, you do what you have to do. I pray that you have a stress free labor and babygirl comes out healthy. 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽👶🏼

Go natural, natural birth is good for a healthy and strong woman, however, it is advised that you should do some exercises during pregnancy to be able to handle the delivery easily.

Both of my children were cleaned off before they were placed in my arms. My son, second child, was born with fluid on his lungs. The nurse gave me a second and ran with him to the NICU.
I had an epidural. That pain was real. Choose what works for you.
