Dude you gotta hit Philly next time! 5th pocket built a bunch of epic parks here and there's an epic DIY scene with FDR and 9th and Poplar.

I am going to NYC tomorrow with my bro! We are going to see Tony and Rodney at 8pm so we have the entire day to explore skate spots/parks in Manhattan! Thanks for all the tips man!

Thanks Kyle, I think traveling might be the ultimate hack to progressing too, you always want to make the most of your time somewhere new.

@@ZackDowdy That's a good point too! Very impressed with how you managed to make so much content during such a short trip, but I guess the same about progressing is true for content creation!

I’m 62 and have been following you a while. I live on Long Island (an hour from NYC) and this year-old NYC video just appeared in my feed (thank you algorithm). I have been on quad roller skates for the last year and I appreciate your perspective as an “older” skater (you may be old to some, but you still have a lot of skating ahead of you). Keep taking care of your body.
I love Chelsea Pier. If you get there around 8AM, you will find some community Elders. This weekend, I hit up a Brooklyn indoor skatepark called Substance. $20 for the day and is great for rain, snow, or cold. It has a 12 foot vert ramp, a bunch of smaller transitions, and a separate 10,000 foot street area. They open at 10 on the weekends. I’d get there early.

Bk City hall is a great warm-up and chill spot, lots of slappy and low ledges and super close to the heights promenade which gives you a sick view of lower manhattan

looks like you hit mostly all the big parks, one more that I would recommend is Astoria park. It's a little out of the way but has a lot of unique features and a great view. does get windy as hell sometimes though

It's so interesting to see your view on our skateparks. I always travel in the winter to poods skatepark in Encinitas and I come back to BK feeling defeated. The atmosphere is just not the same and poods is too perfect. But I mean, I guess even for San Diego poods is a dream lol

After finding your channel a few weeks ago, I've noticed that I am coming back more and more. I'm an older skater, older than you I think, but I can relate to your maturity and sincerity. Skating Vlogs or 'channels', whatever they're called, or however you define them are now a dime a dozen. I'm not talking about social media marketing with huge budgets done by big skate companies like NHS or Thrasher those I can't bitch about that would be hypocritical of me. They put out good shit and its free. I mean content done 'by skaters for skaters'. I think maybe because I didn't come of age on social media, I have trouble relating to people who did. Not all of them, but lots who assume their life is important and interesting enough to make weekly (maybe daily?) media blitzes concerning 'them'. I don't think they are inherently arrogant sons of bitches. They wouldn't judge me for posting my bullshit all over social media platforms. Its just what they know from being raised on computers instead of tv like my generation. Anyway, enough pseudo psych 101Bs. Some of the talent on these random skate vids is high with entertaining enough skate footage that's enjoyable for an episode. After that its mostly the same guys doing their same tricks and still I have the feeling that skateboarding only baits people and gets them in the door but from there the main focus ends up being the person behind the camera not what they are filming. My point is YOU sir don't leave me with this impression at all so you are doing something right these other vloggers haven't figured out yet. Or you are truly the genuine article you really are dedicated to make a video magazine that focus's on Skateboarding . The fact that skating is still something you love and is prominent in your everyday life is inspiring. I feel like skating is truly what drives you and why you put the effort into these original pieces that really stand apart from the heap. I like to think you try to give back to the skate community on as large a scale as possible. I love to watch you ride your board too. You have the best style its also all uniquely your own. You can tell you are super talented from years of hard work/play just by watching you carve lines picking up speed in a bowl, or throwing up an effortless b/s boneless. But watching you I can see you feel no need to prove yourself. But its not only your level of skating ability I admire, and this is my whole point, its the humble, open way you pass down knowledge that's what is great about your channel. I don't mean to overwhelm you with such a long positively rave review but your content is so refreshing.
