These Joyce videos have become way too niche. I hope to branch out soon, and you've given me a lot of ideas. Keep up the great work, Angela!

The long lists, the gigantism, immediately reminded me of a hilarious Father Ted episode where Mrs Doyle tries to guess the priest. She suggests loads of priests. I wonder if the writer Graham Linehan was familiar with Ulysses. If anyone has never seen Father Ted you are missing a treat in my opinion.
Thanks Adam I am really enjoying this series. It helps a lot.

Thanks, Anne! I've heard of Father Ted but never seen it - but The IT Crowd (another series Linehan wrote for) is one of my favorites. I'll have to check out Father Ted. Glad to hear my videos are helping you through Ulysses, enjoy!

I think IT crowd is also very funny. Have just discovered that scene is on TH-cam - Mrs Doyle miraculously guesses the father’s name right. Very sorry will stop going on about telly and get back to Ulysses. Now on Nausicaa. Very easy to read .

Yes, Nausicaa is one of the most accessible. No worries about any random tangents -- incorporating the modern world into Ulysses is part of the fun!
