Remember when there was only one plotline? Yeahhh....
Lol, those were silly times.
Earlier acts of Homestuck had a kind of charm completely different from any later parts. They were extremely conscious of their video game parodies and nods, and worked a unique story through that. I guess it makes sense that current Homestuck plot is different in vibe from that one, though, because by and large the structure of Sburb has been outgrown by Lord English fucking everything up.
So I'll be nostalgic and that'll be just fine. Because it's all neat in different ways.

@@wyattmurphy7153 probably every session gets fucked up like this, 1 way or another. Trolls session may have seemed normal but thats cus all the weird shit was meticulous and behind the scenes (until bec arrives).
Since the frog is a living organism and this session is its reproduction system, it would make sense that the new session would replicate the thing they had with Lord English where he guaranteed them winning by existing.

[S] Rose: Ascend was the page where I first realized how awesome Homestuck was gonna be. Up until then it had been funny, but watching John, Nannasprite and Rose team up on the first boss fight left me with my jaw hanging open.
And that's when I knew I had stumbled upon something amazing.
Fast-paced organ music and a haunting vocal chorus accompanies your epic struggle.
Whenever I see that title, for some reason I always think it's Harle as in Jade Harley.
It happened eventually. Except it was totally anti climactic.
Well, Jades first imp DID have the powers of a First Guardian after all. I doubt it'd just let her kill it.

Love much this feels like a generic video game boss theme, but with little quirks like the bells and the melody "vocal" synth giving it this grand and dangerous, yet ridiculous feeling.

The music in both are variations of Harlequin, so it makes sense. They are both are desperate situations where the characters are suffering, as well, so they are emotionally similar.
