The aluminum foil was a great idea. I did my oil change today and i had oil everywhere on both sides. Why do you prefill the filters?

It's hard not to get oil everywhere it seems. I like to prefill the filters whenever possible so when you first start the engine it doesn't have to fill the filter with oil before its starts lubricating everything like it should. That is my reasoning, does it really matter I dont know, but it makes me feel better haha! Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@amidwestfamily112 Thanks for the response. I have the exact same Exmark mower as you with the exact same engine. I did buy a 'Drainzit" hose for that engine. It screws into the drain plug on the left hand side of the mower. The hose is about 12" long so now i can stick the hose in an oil pan and not make a mess. I am going to try to get one made for the oil filter drain plug.

@@froggiman1 I will have to check those drain hoses out, thanks for info!

So. I have a Scag SW48. If you know anything about them that would be awosme. I changed the oil and I’m thinking mine is the same side as filter (drained and it was black). I had issues and it won’t turn over (a few weeks ago). I changed the spark and I don’t have a spark. Thoughts?

What brand of motor is it? Single cylinder or twin? Are you getting fuel? Do you have a on/ off key is it on? You mentioned a sparkplug, is it the right one? Is the boot pushed on the end of the sparkplug all the way? Have you checked the air filter, is it clean and clear of any debris? Did it run before you started working on it? Does it have a low oil shut off sensor, does it have the right amount of oil? Just a few things you could check, i hope you figure it out.

Hello sir, how do I remove the tire? It has a circle bolt, wasn’t sure how I remove it

Hello, sorry for not responding sooner but to remove the rear tire assembly as a unit you need to unhook the drive belt tensioner spring, remove the turn and breaking rods, remove the belt pulley scraper, the remove the E clip in the outside of the wheel. Then the wheel should slide off. Hope this helps.
