- Mill Lough is a very popular fishery which is stocked with takeable fish annually. The best flies to use olives, buzzers and fast fished lures. There are ten fishing stands situated where access is difficult. The shores are varied with large stretches of clean stony areas on the eastern and southern shores.
There is a disabled fishing stand and car park beside the slipway from where a quarry path runs along most of the northern shore. Boat fishing is from the car park on the southern shore. Get more details: www.nidirect.g...
Hello Scott. It's great to see a fishing video of you. I enjoyed the walk to the river bank. Nice fish!
Thank you Old Smuggler 👍🏻👍🏻
Live 15 mins away and never fished here as I have an 'aversion' to fishing for 'stockies' preferring the lough and rivers but does look like a decent challenge and might now wet a line there, thank you.
Hi Andy, I also like fishing the bigger loughs and rivers but Keenaghan is a great wee place to get the rod bent 🎣🎣🎣
Great film Scott someone in the department must have watched it walked that this morning and the reads are all cut 👌got round no problem I skipped work for a while not a great day for fishing cold and chopey started where you started still a 2lb rainbow brightened up the day the one and only take thanks probably wouldn't have went there only for watching your film and fishing skills 👍
Good man Grahame, the reeds where getting outta hand. It can be a great fishery. If your about next time maybe think about hiring a boat 🎣🎣
@@Scott_Jackson Still a month or so left definitely going to get out again a boat would be a plus haven't fished out of a boat in years wading all the time like standing in water lol.
After a stagger like that you deserve a fish, great video as always.
Thanks David 👍🏻👍🏻
The river i fish here has been as low as it can get since day 1 opening right up to now at closing time , awful conditions I fished it less than 10 times this year . Hopefully next year will be better.
Hi Keith, it’s been a bad year here in Northern Ireland as well and fingers crossed 🤞🏻 it improves next year 🎣🎣
Best Regards,
Scott
Beautiful place and fish Scott 👌 But it looked like a bit of a hike to get there but then your a fit young fella 😁👍
Chum I was busted by the time I walked around but it’s worth it 🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice trout. You need a net, Sir.
And, why not, barbless hooks ?
Hi Hugo, On that particular day I had forgotten my net which was unfortunate and I don’t like barbless hooks.
Best Regards,
Scott
Was there today….water as green as grass,no fish rising and nobody fishing.
A disaster
The department hadn’t stocked the fishery this year 🙄🙄 but it can be good 🎣🎣
@@Scott_Jackson it can…but pollution from farming will destroy that lake soon enough.
It’s getting worse for algae bloom every year
I see you caught me on camera lol
You must have been the chap in the camper 🤔🤔
