If you're interested in buying, try the websites D-Stage, Akibaoo, and Toranoana. Amazon.co.jp and google searching "世界樹の迷宮" in conjunction with "CD" and "買う" are always good bets. D-stage generally has a pretty good selection in particular, and I find a lot through there. Of course, then you need a middleman, since they only ship to Japan. I usually just use CDJapan's "Special Order Service" because they have English-speaking customer service and my Japanese is shit these days. It can be a touch pricey, but they're really fast (I usually get stuff in ~1.5 weeks). There's some other services out there, but I can't speak to their quality. Also worth looking into is this guy on ebay: www.ebay.com/usr/champ_des_pins His stuff is on the pricey end, but he gets some really neat stuff sometimes and has sales pretty frequently. Always had a great time with him.
A new album! How long has it been? I don't care. This sounds amazing. I'm super excited for the localisation of EOV. It's great how they're actually publishing it in PAL countries this time (R.I.P. any European fans who wanted EOII and EOIII), even if it is a few months late. I've been waiting over a year for this thing. I think I can wait another 4-6 months.
This is amazing... it's got a calmer, more relaxing tune that makes Lost Shinjukku seem more bittersweet (compared to the original playing up the "wham" factor).
This track was an excellent surprise. I didn't realize how much of this album had this sort of feel, since the sample only gave you "The Another Story" and set a very different expectation. This was one of those times where I took a leap and didn't regret it at all.

The more sophisticated/"good" the in game music is, the less doujin we seem to get. I noticed a MASSIVE drop off in doujin creation when they swapped from the old PC-98 music to the more modern stuff that they've used since EOIV. The vast majority of my collection is from I-III, and it's not because I stopped buying.
Makes sense. The first games' music was intended to be retro, and give off an old feel. And yet, with more modern audio aesthetics... the contrast makes you want to hear a modernised version, especially considering how good the music sounds already. Meanwhile, the newer ones' music already feels new, matching the aesthetic. It feels like it doesn't _need_ to be remade.
