- Hi guys! We started our baby led weaning journey last week and Greyson tried avocado for the first time 🤩 Well…he kind of did! Haha, he is still getting the hang of this whole eating thing, so he really just tried to figure out what the green stuff on his tray was and picked it up and dropped it several times 🙈 Since we are starting baby led weaning a month earlier than most babies start, we expected this to happen! We’re just allowing Greyson to take his time getting used to picking up his food and eat it ☺️ He’s already improved so much since we vlogged this! When he his eating we are always right by his side and I cut his veggies into finger-length pieces so they are not too small for him to choke on. He also did so well with his first time drinking water out of a sippy cup! I am so happy I was able to share this big milestone of his with you all 💛 I hope you enjoy watching!

It's so fun to all eat together! Even sit baby on your lap so they can watch you closely and want to copy you. But they'll be quick and snatch it so watch out 🤣🤣

Hi! At first my son struggled with how fast the slowest nipple flow was but over time as he grew bigger he adjusted well to them ☺️ I highly recommend the Comotomo bottles for sure, but of course every baby is different so it might take trial and error to see if it is the right bottle for you! I really like the shape of it!!
OK I haven’t had a baby in 16 years 🤯now that my daughter is nine months, yes don’t judge me I’m way late in baby led winning her, seems this is more of a squishy mess and throwing the food than ANYTHING!! I’m eating with her showing her and yeah no she wants me to still feed her…..is there hope in sight lol

Yay! Welcome to my channel 🤗 So happy you’re here! And awww, that is so exciting!! BLW is honestly the best decision we have made when it comes to feeding Greyson 🙏🏻 It was a challenge at first because he wanted nothing to do with food, but now he is doing so well with it and eating such a good variety of food!

I consulted with his pediatrician and she advised me to start at this point. Babies who do BLW do not always start out eating the food served to them. Part of the BLW process is food exploration in the beginning. I appreciate your concern, but every child is different. What is not helpful is mom shaming. Multiple people have commented on this video to criticize how I chose to feed my child as a baby. Everyone parents differently and I think that is something more people need to respect. I have read every single comment on this video and have kept my mouth shut for all (or most of them). But not today. Because people making critical comments like this are not only doing so on my videos. And a mom that receives those comments might be about to reach her breaking point. That’s just something to remember next time you think about making a comment mom shaming someone. Being a mom is HARD and we are all just doing our best. I won’t even tell you everything we have been through with Greyson up until this point, but it’s a lot. We’ve also navigated major losses in our family while going through so much with our son. You never know what someone is going through, so instead of criticizing someone’s parenting, offer encouragement or don’t leave a comment at all.
@@morganalexisdakin then i would advise you seek a new pediatrican, your son does not look ready AT ALL. It is not about him “not eating the food served to them” it’s the lack of interest, the lack of sitting correctly and a few others. I’m aware of every child is different, but that’s not the issue here. If a few parents have told you the exact same concerns that I have.. then maybe take them on board because this whole video makes me uncomfortable. The personal issues in your life still has nothing to do with the concern people are having with this issue so I’m sorry you’re having a difficult time but the sob story isn’t going to work.

@@horrorxmama94 not that it is any of your concern, but we do have a different ped now. Also for the record my intent was not to comment a “sob story”. I was just hoping you had a little empathy and understanding for other human beings. Also, this is a very old video. I do not even upload anymore and my son is 2.5 and thriving.

I'm sorry, but he is not even ready to start BLW. He can't sit by his own, he should pick the food up by his self because that means that his mouth is ready too. And omg, the way you give him water! Please read about it first before you give people an example. This way endangers babies unnecessarily.
This is not true , baby’s don’t have to sit by them selfs to be ready to eat
That baby can jump in a bouncer he’s fine to eat u can start feeding babies at 4 months new research shows 🤷🏼♀️

Babies don’t need to pick up their food either 🤣 that comes with eating after months 🤣 no 5-6 month old is going to always pick up food
U start with purée and move to BLW again if u don’t know don’t try to educate anybody else
Love to see u edited your comment , water is not going to endanger any child that’s ready for baby food, babies can have water at 6months old
It’s actually advised if ur baby is constipated 1 oz of water or prune juice or apple juice is fine including sugar water (old trick in the book works amazing)
