I am not understanding the point of this. Seems extremely excessive. If you have an older Prius where the existing battery management system has failed, wouldn't it throw an error in the can? The amount of labor to do all of this just to tell someone they need a new battery pack, which often isn't worth it to replace. Help me out here because this seems scammy.
thanks for reaching out. one would diagnose the battery first using the scan tool as mentioned earlier in the video. one would only do this procedure if the battery was found to be good and just out of balance. balancing the battery will regain lost range and help extend the life of expensive battery.
