17:57 earfun for some reason only allows game mode toggle on triple and long press. The android permanent notification you can enable gives a toggle, at least. Higher Loudness = battery, I suspect. You can run it on lower volumes, but I havent heard of anyone testing battery at equal db. Pinch controls are the only major missing thing here. Mute, volume, and anc controls during calls is sorely missing across all price points of wireless earbuds. My tip is: eliminate any deal breakers, then buy the first that goes half off :)
Absolutely quality video as usual! Just for a quick comparison if you can, how does the premium Nothing Ear compare to both the Nothing Ear A and the Liberty 4 Pro, since it’s in the $120 range currently so I wanted to get some opinions on it!
Thank you! So overall the L4P are a better earbud, but they each have strengths. L4P is ahead on ANC (but quite a lot), ahead on mic quality (not as natural sounding as Nothing Ear, but better background noise rejection), and then Nothing is just ahead on sound quality - slightly better clarity and balance
@@insidetechltdGo with the liberty 4 NC. The liberty 4 pros are honestly a downgrade. The pro model does badly at low frequencies and you can not fix it in the Equalizer without everything sounding muddy. Trust me, the liberty 4 NC are both better, and 40 dollars cheaper to boot. Ive got mine in rightnow. Super comfortable and great sound across all ranges.
Which earbud would you recommend if the top priorities are a compact case, ambient noise, minimal occlusion, and good bluetooth connectivity? Also great vid, love ur system for ranking these
Sorry! didn't see this in time. I think either of those two would be good. There's better ambient sound on the EarFun Air Pro 4, but the case is more compact with OnePlus. Better bluetooth with EarFun though so probably those overall
I prefer the liberty 4 NC over the liberty 4 pros in all honestly. I hear the liberty 4 pros were disappointing in lower frequencies and you couldnt compensate with the equalizer without the sound getting muddied in the process. The regular liberty 4 NC are great though right out of the box IMO. Only $60 bucks for black friday or cyber monday. I think the stock tune on them is great for EDM. Not many earbuds are, because that kind of music requires crisp highs, mids, and lows.
Hola, soy de México, en mi país los liberty 4 pros están en $150 dólares y me parecen caros. Qué bueno que leo tu comentario porque los liberty 4 NC salen más baratos y estaba pensando en comprarlos. Entonces los recomiendas?
Thank you for this episode you really do a very detailed and unbiased testing and it's much appreciated. I have the JBL Live Pro 2s which were replaced with the OnePlus Buds 3 it's amazing how good these cheaper earbuds are getting. It's a win-win for all of us. 💯👍🇺🇸
which should i get between nothing ear a vs one plus buds 3, both are selling for almost same price here in my country because of offer one plus for $ 52 and nothing ear a for $ 58, m super confused, please reply before the offer runs out
Thank you! So in terms of overall rank, they’d get in ahead of JBL’s Live Pro 2 - so they be in the video at $99. They’d also be the standout best performer for workouts (far better than any of these for that). It does depend on your preferences though!
Soundcore as ldhc in OnePlus only works on certain phone models. Not to mention the soundcore app has the best play store ratings. Nothing battery is horrendous for the price.
I’ve used the SoundPEATS Engine 4 and thought it was excellent. Before that, I had the Edifier X3 Plus, and in comparison, I found the Engine 4 to be better. After two years, the Engine 4 started having issues, so I decided to upgrade. I recently tried the Soundcore by Anker R50i, but it was a huge disappointment compared to the other two. Now, I’m looking for a pair of earbuds that match or surpass the sound quality of the Engine 4. Sound quality is my only priority-I’m not concerned about other features. Could you recommend something, please?
I just got the jabra elite 5 for $80 dollars great deal but somehow it doesn't fit me well, either feels like they would pop out or are just hurt my ear when pushed in it hurts my ear. Hence returning it. Thinking of trying out nothing ear (a) but these are currently selling for $99 where as earlier sale price was $69 so....I think it's not right to but now at a higher price. I am not a fan of stems but with my experience with jabra I would consider having stems. I even think I could try galaxy buds 3 pro which were selling at $189 but I am considering that sould I be spending that amount where I can find other earbuds for similar features or some with even more features for a lower price. I even tried the airpods pro 2 usb c I liked the fit but I feel the isolation/NC a bit weird. Please suggest. Thankyou. Happy new year.
Don't pay that much for Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. They're good, but not that good. You're right that you can find earbuds with similar features for less. Definitely try a stem design because they all feel slightly different and you might end up liking it! Nothing ear (a) for $99 is still a good price, but I understand why you wouldn't want to buy them now. I think the best option is to try and buy from somewhere with a good returns policy, maybe Amazon, and try out some earbuds you like! Happy New Year!
Amazing value for money and was very surprised to see them not make it into this list. Extremely bass heavy sound, cool charging case but there are lots of more compelling alternatives
what about the soundcore space A40 i found them at 72$ in my local store. they have tons of features and 8 hrs with ance on and 4 hrs of playtime on a 3 min charge ??? are they still good option for 2024 , because they are a little bit old
I think they are inferior to the Liberty 4 NC, and i'm sure you could get those for the same sort of price. The A40 are good, but there are better options for the same price
It really depends. LDAC is a lot more widely supported (a lot, lot more) for starters. Most phones don't support aptX lossless. But Lossless has a higher bit rate (and is also more stable at higher bit rates than LDAC is). LDAC isn't very stable at the highest bit rate i.e. when you actually get the full sound quality benefit of using the codec. It is likely that you would spend more time listening at higher bit rates using aptX lossless than you would in an equivalent situation with LDAC. Lossless is also using a lossless encoding format, vs the lossy LDAC - so the quality is slightly better there too. Essentially I would say that aptX Lossless is better, but it's not well supported
Started collecting earbuds in 2021. Went nuts and bought maybe 20 pairs from various brands since, 3 from Soundcore because I really loved the sound and features. All the Soundcores have died within 2 years of purchase from just light weekly use in rotation. (one side stops working). A friend used hers more regularly, same thing, one side craps out. I'm a tech guy, so all the standard fixes were tried. Absolute _garbage_ quality control worse than any other brand I've bought, never again.
@@iddobarzilai68 All I can tell you is my experience. So far, Earfun, Soundpeats, Tozo, Tranya, Edifier and JBL have lasted longer. They all still work. The older JBLs (130NC and 230NC have seen marked battery life reduction, but the newer JBL Live Pro2s are fine). Of course no single user experience is anything to go by, you will no doubt see people report bad experiences with all those brands, and good long term ones with Soundcore. But what are the odds that one person is so unlucky with just one brand? I see a pattern, and many similar reported experiences with Soundcores going dead one side, bricking the product in or out of warranty. They have some kind of power/battery QC issue imo. If I see a positive trend, I'll happily buy again, they're awesome when they work.
They do in fairness to them. The only thing that made it slightly more interesting this year is that you could argue the Liberty 4 Pro don't belong in the video (they only recently became under $100 and won't be for everyone). So if the Liberty 4 NC were in instead...they would've still lost overall to EarFun. Either way, soundcore killing it once again
FE like Fucked up man I am done buying samsung my sister bought the Samsung S23 for my birthday and it wasnt the true S23 but maybe an S22 FE or their base form but it wasnt an S23 since the screen was smaller the battery smaller around 3900 ma the cameras way weaker and no SD card port !
The only thing I agree with in this video is that indeed at less than $100, the Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro are the best earbuds overall, but to say that they have the best sound 🔊 (and even if sound is something subjective) is false ❌ Then, there is not a world where the OnePlus Buds 3 have better latency in gaming, better microphones in phone calls, but above all a better sound 🔊 than the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro and 5 Pro, this world does not exist. The Earfun Air Pro 4 are not bad, but do not have a good phone call quality in noisy and windy environments. The Nothing Ear A, a lot of hype, but average sound 🔊 in reality. The JBL Live Pro 2 are good and sound better 🔊 than 90% of the earbuds in this video. The Huawei Freebuds 6i, avoid them, buy the 5i or Freebuds Pro 1 or 2, or anything else. 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️
Do you own all of these earbuds? I own most and can confirm the sound from the OnePlus buds 3 is better IMO than the realme air 6 pro though they are very close. Subjectivity is the key word

Thanks for waiting, sorry it took so long!

Been looking forward to this! I had the old soundcore p3i probably due for an upgrade.
Do it! What are you upgrading to? 🤔
Shall I buy soundcore Liberty4 NC or oneplus buds 3 if bass is priority
no it will rape your ears
OnePlus Buds 3. You not only have the BassWave slider to crank it up further, but it's a cleaner and tighter bass response too
Aren’t the soundcore ones like a third of the price though? For the price of the oneplus buds you can get a flagship pair right?
No both are around 60usd 70 usd@@Wattoh

Liberty 4 NC could try some in the rankings?
What are your thoughts on CMF bud pro 2? I had my interest in it for long now but still unsure after reading a lot of reviews
Amazing value for money and was very surprised to see them not make it into this list. Extremely bass heavy sound, cool charging case but there are lots of more compelling alternatives
Do the Soundcore Liberty 4 have an EQ shift when ANC is on? I know that’s been a bit of a problem with other Soundcore headphones.
In my country, Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro and Nothing Ear (2024) are the same price, which one do you think I should buy?
If u want better sound get the Nothing. Liberty 4 Pro sound customization is trash in comparison. The EQ starts at 100 hz 🫣
@curl3v252 I did a lot of research and everyone says so. I am currently using Nothing Ear (2024)
Should i buy oneplus buds 3 or nothing buds a?
what did u got, but i am going for a nothing buds a for its neutral sound and its looks

I'd recommend sleepbuds instead then. These aren't good for sleeping
InsideTech who is the best between soundcore liberty 4 pro vs oneplus buds pro 3 vs nothing ear
Soundcore is the best overall performer of those 3, followed closely by the OnePlus Buds Pro 3
How close do i have to keep my phone?
I'm planning on getting the OnePlus Buds 3 but my phone doesn't support LHDC Codec, will it make any difference in terms of sound quality?
To the vast majority of people: no. They still sound great anyway
what do you think about the pixel buds a
Love the lightweight, comfort and great controls. Don't love the lack of ANC or battery life
Best for phone calls and podcasts?
In what rank if liberty 4 nc included in the list?
In 3rd overall if they were in

@insidetechltd okay thank you, what about LHDC? All these codecs can be confusing at times
Earfun is the best buds ever... They win over any high end buds
Can you test vivo and Panasonic earbuds?
I do test panasonic earbuds - they're normally only average at best for performance. But i'll test Vivo earbuds in future!
