I haven't watched Bay area news or weather for years but KPIX has a winner here with Darren. I like his down-to-earth, straight forward presentation. I'll check in once in a while but the Bay Area news stations are too much like Pravda so I"ll skip that part.
Great forecast as always but why is the background map shot sideways. It’s like watching from the cheap seats in a theater. Much easier to read it when it’s shot head on.
I really appreciate the quantitative view and the graphs and the weather theory. I know it's more work than just "it's gonna wind yo" but I really appreciate it.
Please just start off with why we tuned in in the first place; tell us if and when it will rain in the bay area, THEN add all the interesting ancillary information. Get the priorities right.
No doubt you are knolwdgeble about agriculture and could teach us about cover crops. But In modern times we found out exactly how photosynthesis works. Photosynthesis takes oxygen from water and carbon from carbon dioxide to make organic compounds that are most of the weight of the plants. It occurs in the leaves not the roots Your statement that air to the roots is the sourse of much of the weight of the plant is simply false. It sounds like you are claiming air going to the soil makes 90-97 of the mass of the plant. Sure roots need air to survive and plants need roots to survive. But air in the soil does not end up being most of the mass of the plant.
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Ooh, black and yellow! Let's shake it up a little. Barry! Breakfast is ready! Ooming! Hang on a second. Hello? - Barry? - Adam? - Oan you believe this is happening? - I can't. I'll pick you up. Looking sharp. Use the stairs. Your father paid good money for those. Sorry. I'm excited. Here's the graduate. We're very proud of you, son. A perfect report card, all B's. Very proud. Ma! I got a thing going here. - You got lint on your fuzz. - Ow! That's me! - Wave to us! We'll be in row 118,000. - Bye! Barry, I told you, stop flying in the house! - Hey, Adam. - Hey, Barry. - Is that fuzz gel? - A little. Special day, graduation. Never thought I'd make it. Three days grade school, three days high school. Those were awkward. Three days college. I'm glad I took a day and hitchhiked around the hive. You did come back different. - Hi, Barry. - Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good. - Hear about Frankie? - Yeah. - You going to the funeral? - No, I'm not going. Everybody knows, sting someone, you die. Don't waste it on a squirrel. Such a hothead. I guess he could have just gotten out of the way. I love this incorporating an amusement park into our day. That's why we don't need vacations. Boy, quite a bit of pomp... under the circumstances. - Well, Adam, today we are men. - We are! - Bee-men. - Amen! Hallelujah! Students, faculty, distinguished bees, please welcome Dean Buzzwell.
My favorite weather guy. Thanks for all the info!
Darren is the GOAT
Thank god you are staying with THIS view of storm coming in rather than the insane over-produced 3d thing. Sometimes, less is more.
Yeah. They failed with that

The camera-person is failing Darren with these perspectives and angles. RIP KPIX.
I don't know why that map is all the way over in the corner. Kinda hard to see, tho.
The greatest Meteorologist Darren. Thank u for this report. Love the details how storm will play out.
excellent analysis of the weather next few days
Why is the screen is sideway and small? Difficult for the eye to see.
These new camera angles need to go away. Please go back to the previous way of showing the weather, right now it's super weird.
Hey camera crew fix your angles. So much high tech i feel im back in science class using the overhead projector.😂

Thank you for your weather report. Excellent!
Great analysis, thanks!
Whoa. Drama camera angles. Yesss! Great reporting. Thank you 🙏.
Hi From The Sky ✨🤺
I remember when Atmospheric Rivers were called the "Pineapple Express" 🍍🌧

Cool graphics! Wow.
Seven minutes until you begin to tell us what the morning's rail will be.
I was just hit by it here in SF
Yep. Noise woke us up here in Upper Haight-Ashbury/Parnassus Heights. I’m trying to get some sleep here. 😂
Why didnt anyone ask Da Lin what he thinks?
