    I think they are doing a great job since the SAPS has failed dismally in South Africa. We have Sizokthola meaning we will get you, though they are working with police they saw that police are not really serving the needs of South Africans. When we had covid there were soldiers everywhere doing road blocks searching for permits and lock downs but they cannot go out there and search for drugs and fight crime.

    Thank you for posting this episode! I personally believe that we have strong laws but they are not enforsed. If the police have a soft approach hold them accountable. It can be VERY scary to open cases as a victim and these situations can be dealt with much better. These security groups are MORE than willing to do whatever it takes within the law to proctect and serve its a pitty that they could not further investigate or do something other than to show up. I hope that the communities accross SA come together againts crimes in our areas. The criminals should be scared to commit crimes. Its just becomes to easy to get away with crime. Thanks carte blanche for supporting these groups they to are heroes in our communities :)

  • @tharaxis1474
    @tharaxis1474 ปีที่แล้ว +28

    It's difficult to get a realistic picture of how this type of vigilante justice actually works, given that when the cameras are on they clearly play to them to make themselves look more sympathetic. The same is true when it comes to the police showing up because Carte Blanche is there, but then when the cameras are gone, so too are they, leaving the communities having to look after themselves. There's also the very real possibility that these types of vigilante groups eventually transition into organised crime gangs themselves, believing that the streets are theirs to own and control.
    It's complicated.
