Yurt is an important part of central Asian and Kyrgyz life. It is also a very important part of the culture of Kyrgyzstan. I stayed in 2 yurts first time in Kegeti and the second time in Song Kul and really enjoyed the experience. It is truly unique and the hospitality is legendary. In this video, I explain the importance of yurts in Kyrgyz culture, what to expect during your stay and how to come prepared for your first yurt stay.

Yup it’s no luxury toilet though, pretty basic as expected

There are basic toilets and showers but justly cold water, I just went for a quick swim in the stream but it was freezing cold water
