Great work and thanks for sharing some of your knowledge experience. And the importance of learning how to check the plugs and get tips from the older nitrous guys...that way will always be king.
In this video when the engine is cranked at 30 degrees the timing pointer does not line up with this mark yet you say it is right on the money. Please explain this.
I know this video is a few years old now but it has helped me immensely. With my sniper 2 I can't set the static timing unless I disable the idle spark control. And I think that's why I was having issues. What I don't understand is if all this is electronically controlled can I leave my engine at 0° TDC and just have the program at the correct idle/cruise/WOT. It's sparking at the correct degrees right? Everyone tells me to physically set the engine back to 15° BTC but what's the difference if the spark is electronically controlled anyway. I understand the concept with none electronic controlled carbs and distros but with everything programmed why does it matter?
Good video man! Really digging the layman's terms you put down when explaining things. Do you have any fuel videos in the future? Been trying to see if there is a dual fuel dominator setup. Like gas to methanol and then back. Either way thanks for helping make sense of all these tables
Not sure exactly what you mean by dual fuel dominator setup, but we ran both E85R and C16 in one of my Holley EFI tunes (turbo dragbike that ran both fuels at the same event)... After running both Fri. and Sat. on E85 we weren't sure he had enough fuel to go more than 3-rounds Sunday (because it turned out that E85 wasn't available at SGMP at that time). So rather than risk possibly having to change fuels "between rounds Sunday" he bought C16 and we switched fuels Sat. night... This bike was originally tuned and raced on C16 so it was as simple as loading the last C16 Global File that we ran at SGMP...
@@KCadbyRacing dual fuel setup as in while driving around town and out of boost just using the 93 octane which is available at all the pumps. Then if/when you get in the throttle, it transitions to the secondary injectors to inject m1 while phasing out the gas injectors. Nelson Racing does that on his big street car builds but uses a different computer, was trying to see if that was possible with the Dominator.
@@Reject06 Ah... I'm obviously behind the knowledge curve on that, partly because all of my 30+ Holley tunes have been on bikes so a Duel Fuel system would be a lot more difficult (even though we do run custom made fuel cells on some of the bikes)... Learning new (to me) things about Holley EFI is one of the reasons Devin's channel is now my favorite Holley EFI channel👍
My crank timing (15') matches my timing light. So does my idle timing table(30'). I disable idle spark and set my static at 30' i rev it up to about 2500 and my timing jumps to 36-38'. My inductive delay is 1. Any thoughts? ( sbf msd tfi)
Definitely great video but oh my God getting through the back-to-back-to-back commercials every 2 -3minutes is just ridiculous. At only eight minutes in I've had to see about 6 commercials already. And for the same garbage not since they keep trying to shove down our throat. Trying to convince us this is trendy and what we need in our lives mean while it's garbage. I hate commercials I hate that they insult our intelligence, like do people actually sit down and really think about how stupid some of these commercials really are? Okay I said my peace back to watching something actually intelligent.

Great video - thank you! Did not know how to set a fixed timing to check my static timing.
Awesome video man very informative. Keep it up always looking forward to the next one.
Dam good video man picked up some great tips here have to keep them coming just subscribed to your channel.
Thanks for another great class! Your timing is spot on for my project! (no pun intended). And yes to the plug reading class on meth. Thanks again
My take from this video. Timing numbers mean nothing! Got it!!! 😁
Great video. This was so helpful. Bless you
Another great video Devin👍
Thanks for this.
A plug reading vid would be great 👍!!
wasnt getting any lights, is there a way to lower the threshhold to say 200 rpm?
Awesome video. Thanks for the info

it lines up with 30 on balancer
Can you please make a video about reading spark plugs for gas and methanol. Great videos! thanks.
I know this is an older video, but where can I find the link to the inductive delay explanation you mentioned you would post, in the video?

For some reason my timing light won't get signal if the car isn't running

@@KCadbyRacing yeah this channel helps explain all sorts of abilities and adjustments with the dominator. It's why I keep coming back!
Devin who machine the pointer in your Holley crank senser holder
What if when i set the static timing my timing is still not where it is supposed to be on my balancer
move the sensor or the reference angle

add inductive delay
That’s not cyl #1 WTF. Cyl #1 is on the drivers side. Did I miss something?
we are dealing with the lords motor over here sir SBFTTF
