Amrit Udyan, formerly known as the Mughal Gardens, is a sprawling 15-acre garden located within the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India in New Delhi. Often referred to as the soul of Rashtrapati Bhavan, it showcases a harmonious blend of Mughal and British.
Layout and Major Attractions:
The garden is divided into several distinct sections, each offering unique attractions:
• Circular Garden: Also known as the ‘Pearl’ or ‘Butterfly’ Garden, this area features fragrant flowers such as Phlox, Marigold, Stock, Viola, and Pansies. A central bubble fountain enhances its beauty. 
• Central Lawn: A vast expanse often used for hosting state functions, surrounded by seasonal flowers and ornamental plants.
• Bal Vatika: A specially curated children’s garden with a 225-year-old Sheesham tree, a treehouse, and a nature classroom.
Visiting Information:
• Opening Period: For 2025, Amrit Udyan is open to the public from February 2 to March 30. 
• Timings: Open six days a week from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM; closed on Mondays for maintenance.
• Entry and Exit: Visitors should use Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, located near North Avenue. A shuttle bus service is available from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35, running every 30 minutes from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Booking Details: Entry is free. Visitors can pre-book their slots online at visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in or opt for walk-in entry.
• Special Closure Days: The garden will be closed on February 5 due to Delhi elections, February 20 and 21 for the Visitors’ Conference at Rashtrapati Bhavan, and March 14 for Holi celebrations.

• Food Court: A vibrant food court offers refreshments and showcases ongoing exhibitions.
