One of the best cars I ever had, economical, good torque on low RPM and cost me only 700 eur back in 2020 for a 2003 model (Estonia). Sold two years later and it was working perfectly.
I had one as well from 2003, 1.2 12v, full extras including climatronic AC, had it for 3 years, 0 problems :D. Sold it when it reached 200k kms to get something newer, from the VAG group as well 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I still have it. I bought it new in 2005 and till now I passed 250k km with no problems. I have the prefacelift version with 1.4 16V , 101hp (version in Greece) and climatronic!

I had this as my first car! Was fun and economical. Comfy too and very cheap to buy and run. 0-62 mph was about 14sec for me??
Cheap? It was and is a VAG-product = extremely overpriced.. You could get a Corolla, Astra or a Focus with +100 hp for a lower price back then.. :D
Truly love this car, i got a 1.2 12V 69Hp version, the one with the chain driven trasmission, it' a restyle model so it's not truly identical, the front bumper changed a bit, but it's the same VW based car, i bought It recently as my first car, payed a decent price (Euro, 🇮🇹) and when i brought It home hads 59679 kilometres, i recently got my licence, it has done since 1400km, i love to drive It and enjoy every bit of It, Really Great video, i enjoyed It very much since i own one, thank you

@@kiril_elrazor The dude is correct, it's a 1.2 3 cylinder. You can clearly hear it's not a 4 cyl engine, and the performance is in line with the 1.2.

I driveing with that Car every 1,5 Monts 1300km i one way(after two week's driveing back) . 800km without stopping,just refuel..engine:1.2 12v.. Best economical Car ever made.
I believe you mixed up the engine in this one. It sounds (and performs) like the 3 cylinder 1.2. You have 1.4 in the title, and even 1.6 in the description.
Sounds totally like the 3-cylinder 1.2 HTP unit.

Jechałeś z kontrolką Check Engine, a to auto wtedy jest w trybie serwisowym ( muł straszny ). Wiem, bo sam mam takie samo 😊 Na miasto i do pracy nic więcej nie potrzeba, a i nad morze z Wielkopolski dojadę 😂 Dynamiczny silnik jak na 1.2 🎉

Silnik brzmi jak średnio zdrowe 3 cylindry więc to albo jednostka 1,2, albo ten 1,4 (o pojemności 1595) pracuje na 3 cylindrach.

Does it consume oil? I heard from various sources that it can consume oil quite a lot...

I have this car from cousin, but i think it wasn't so bad before 'cuz he was shocked when I told him how much oil it consumes now. It's about 200 ml per 1000km(but i'm not 100% sure about this numbers)

yesterday I rode into a hole on the street and after that everytime I started riding it starts smelling burned but there is no smoke and the next day the tire still isn't flat. It is the seat ibiza hatchback III 1.2 12V from 2009. Anyone knows what it could be? visually everything looks fine.

Nothing wrong with his shifting, it's not a 1.4 85hp as the title says. He made a mistake.

Moja mama jeździ tym Seatem. Jak się o niego nie dba, niestety autko jest podatne na różne usterki, w tym problemy ze sprzęgłem... Egzemplarz z tego testu jest zadbany i w miarę zrywny 🙂 Lubię te dźwięki silnika

@@Rocker0994 jak się jeździ głównie w mieście to przyspieszenie do setki nie ma żadnego znaczenia. Liczy się to jak się zbiera spod świateł i przyspieszenie do 60 i elastyczność.
@@tomaszlis823 przyspieszenie 0-100 ma pewne znaczenie, zwróć uwagę w jakim czasie to auto rozpędza się do 60 km/h - 9 sekund! Zgadzam się, że Ibiza jest zrywnym samochodem, bo miałem taką w 1.9 tdi - świetny samochód. Odnoszę się tylko do tego zaniedbanego pojazdu z filmiku, świeci się check engine i ten silnik nie ma połowy mocy. W latach swojej świetności może ten 1.2 był w miarę zrywny jeśli mówimy tylko o jeździe miejskiej.

It's not the 85hp engine, he made a mistake. You can clearly hear it's a 3 cylinder engine.
@dbauernf I also think it's the 3 cylinder unit but even that engine is faster from 0 to 100, that's why I'm talking about the check light.

@@samjinchuriki6980 Yeah, but he's usually waaay off from the stock/factory rated acceleration figures in his videos. Googling says 14.9 seconds for the 64hp unit.

FOR EVERYONE WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THE ACCELERATION! As a person that had that kind of Ibiza, it is 100% overinflation of the turbo, which basically means that the car just turns off the turbo. My Ibiza (1.4 TDI 3 cylinders) after 3000 rpm on 5th gear (around 120 km/h) just turns of the turbo and the car struggles to make a big uphill with 70 km/h on the autobahn the acceleration is nearly twice slower.

It's not a turbo engine. It's a 1.2 3 cylinder naturally aspirated engine.
