57:30 THANK YOU for supporting her to recognize the reality and to see her aunt for what she is and that she cannot be trusted with honors such as this in the future
My last wedding, I only took my 6 1/2 yr old son. We actually had a great time, he was very interested and picked some out. It was a lovely few hours together, and I did choose one that he had chosen, which made him so proud ❤️
I just looked up the year Di got married. I'd have just turned 3 a few days before, so it must be one if my earliest memories, because I specifically remember photos of her and Charles on the cover of every magazine and iwas just blown away. I remember thinking it was perfect, she looked like a combo of Cinderella and my favorite Barbie dolls. It couldnt have been better in my little eyes. Looking at it now, time has definitely marched on. Those poofy sleeves and all of the bows are just so much and i cant imagine how confined Diana must have felt. Kind of a sign of what her entire marriage ended up being. A sweet little girl confined and trapped in a giant thing that overtook her. But, wow, in that moment, it was perfect. David really outdid himself for the style at the time. He is responsible for a huge chunk of 80's memorabilia.
This is my exact thought. David and his wife designed the dress exactly as she wanted it. It was not only the style of the time but the epitome of it. Now it looks outdated because it is. Whenever a dress is exactly the style of the time, it always will look dated in future decades. Always.
These dresses are so much nicer than the ones in NY where they seem to be in love with the strapless, which really aren't always flattering. This one is beautiful! I'm an Identical Twin and my sis and I got married a year apart and wore the same dress. :)
Rules for bridal dress shopping: 1) Consultant should NEVER EVER show a bride a dress over budget, even if it is a dress a bride picks out. 2) When a bride makes a dress budget, she needs to take into account alterations, accessories, veil, & shoes. 3) Bride should never ever bring a large entourage; 2 ppl max. & the same 2 every time the bride goes shopping to avoid confusion. 4) It should never be assumed by the bride, the consultant, nor the entourage that THE DRESS will be found in 5 dresses or less. 5) 50+ dress try-ons is overkill. It will become mentally & emotionally draining, & everything starts running together.
With some of your points I wholeheartedly agree, but you've got the give the consultants some slack, when the budget is especially tight and the bride has a more expensive taste. The dress on Sophie was made for her! But yeah, truly over that ridiculously small budget for such a bridal boutique. They chose to go to that boutique, which might have had 3 dresses in total under a 1000 pounds. It's not realistic of the customer. There could hardly be found a better dress in the whole of England for Sophie and it was reasonably priced. I'm so glad it could be worked out :)
Now we know why the Auntie was engaged 5 times but NEVER married. What a jealous witch. She tried everything to ruin the appt. Kick Auntie to the curb She will NEVER be married.
@@atomicdiamondx no doubt! Do have the audacity to ask if she'd been crying after being so hateful shows how little of a conscience that she has. I wanted to jump through my computer to hug the bride & wrap the stickiest tape I could find around the aunt's mouth all at the same time. I hope she watched this back and realized that there's a time for sarcastic humor but never a time to be cruel. I am one of those people who feels like a football player in almost any dress. I even had my husband say it once. So, hearing her aunt-who she chose to be there to love and support her- tell that beautiful young lady she looked like one really cut to the core.
The girl with the Cruel Jealous Aunt looked nice in her pick but actually she was bullied out of choosing the second dress, which was absolutely magnificent on her. David should have kicked that woman out if his store.
Those 'best friends'... can't even agree they may both enjoy buttons. How pathetic is that? 'Best foes' is a better term. Jealousy or rivalry has nothing to seek in Any true friendship.
Yes David Emanuel did suggest the engaged best friend try on a dress too but the best friend seem a bit hateful and Jealous to be "best friends " more like frenemies
That brides "auntie" is ruthlessly mean... its NOT an honest opinion its straightvup mean and rudeness!!! That bride Jordan is BEAUTIFUL and that aunt needs to get over herself &/or be uninvited to jordans wedding
And projecting, big time, specially that leg comment. Auntie can't stand that she is not the center of attention, was being a bully and thinks she's hilarious. I hope David gave her more of his mind than we saw.
I think until then she must be the centre of attention and now she’s a middle aged woman who was once pretty but now is petty and jealous as her niece is stunning
I am always amazed by brides who consistently go above their budget for a wedding dress. They get their heart broken about a certain dress KNOWING they are above budget!! The entire wedding is not cheap yet they ignore the dress budget!!
I love it just that the twin tried on the ball dress. She looks absolutely gorgeous and it looks like it’s really comfortable. I love the top. I think I would’ve had them put a white under that to see if I would like the white better because it might make the bling blings show out more. But it is beautiful love it! 🙏🥰🐾🙏
Bride #1, dress #1: the designer was RIGHT THERE - if she didn't like the green/brown embroidery, why not ask the designer to switch to all-white embroidery?
It’s no wonder Jordan’s aunt has been engaged 5 times and never married. She’s rude and jealous of her absolutely gorgeous niece that she’s actually able to hold down a relationship 🙄 if she were my aunt she would have been asked to leave
That Jordan not even willing to try something because she didn’t like it on the hanger. I didn’t like mine on the hanger either until I put it on and it looked amazing!! You need to be more open in so many ways, not just clothing but life in general. You are mentally closing yourself to things that could be wonderful! I hope that as she matures, she learns that.
With the critical anti… She’s a horrid individual, because everything she said was untrue. She made her niece cry… And that woman has been engaged, five times and never married. It all boils down to one thing. Jealousy. Mean jealousy.
The girl with the sleeve tattoo is very insensitive to her father. It would have been better to have had a talk with him years ago and told him she was sorry. Katie is an extremely beautiful woman. I was disappointed too at the reaction of her entourage. She felt so happy in that wonderful dress, so at home. Of the bride with the sleeve tattoo knew her Dad didn't like tats, and she shopped with him all the time, and she knew he wouldn't want to see her tag in her wedding gown, why did she get the tat? She could have waited until after the wedding.

The first bride - the first dress. She should have just had the embroidery stitching colour changed. Not a huge fix on a special order gown. I’m shocked the bride rejected it when it was so much more flattering than the one she chose

With marriage comes tremendous responsibility and the need for maturity. If a bride to be cannot choose a dress on her own, and needs everybody else's approval she is not ready
That's simply not true. Maturity comes in different forms. Some people don't care at all about what others think and I'd go as far as to call them the more immature ones. If a more uncertain bride finds a supportive husband, she'll mature quite lovely. Some people do have that tender love for quite a bunch of people and some people just are happier when all around are happy too. People are different. At that's perfectly okay. And that 'tremendous responsibility' comes with having children, which might take a few years nowadays.
The second bride family cant behave.u never laugh at someone in a wedding dress.she doesnt have confidence to choose a dress because of her mean family

09:58 I know half these brides are annoying, but it’s mean to call them “picky.” This is probably the most expensive, publicly scrutinized and yet also PERSONAL garment they’ll ever buy. Of course they’re hyper critical.
The best friends and the buttons, etc., seems so wrong. I truly hope this is about how the episode was cut and pasted than how they actually are together. The honesty is fine, but making it as a competition seems unnecessary. Heck, they should be able to wear the exact same dress and support one another! If my best friend wanted to get married in a cat shaped dress that really made her happy, I would stand with her. Sure, there may be a giggle or two, but we are so close that it wouldn't matter!
This guy - who designed Princess Diana’s gown - is rather pretentious. Although to be fair, to be so picky for a girl with a small budget - something’s gotta give
The definition of pretentious is someone who has an exaggerated importance, you described him as pretentious directly after explaining why he is infact very important in the world of wedding dresses. That’s super confusing. Idk if you used the wrong word or if you think he genuinely has an unwarranted confidence and I’m curious which it is
"dad can't see past it" -- *WHO COULD?!* I'm not anti-ink, but it *is not* and *will never be* complimentary to 99.999% of wedding gowns that do not hide the ink entirely.
Brides in Great Britain budget much lower than other countries. The same show in the US it seems about 5 grand & up. Here mostly under 3 grand gets an amazing dress just about as the 12 grand ones from the US.
That second dress on Jordan was amazing

If my best friend wanted to get married in a cat shaped dress that really made her happy, I would stand with her. Sure, there may be a giggle or two, but we are so close that it wouldn't matter!
How has she managed to hide full arm tattoo from her dad
She didn’t.
Idk if you used the wrong word or if you think he genuinely has an unwarranted confidence and I’m curious which it is
You can cover that tattoo with makeup.
Why did she bring her dad ? If she does not like it she should start laser treatment .
😡😡😡 the consultants always takes the bride’s over budget. That’s so rude and uncaring
Bride 1 isn’t a perfectionist, she’s just insecure and anxious. That’s very different than perfectionism. She looked awesome in both dresses.
